I speak English as my second language (Swedish is my first) and just a teensy bit of japanese which is a mix of self-taught and classes.

Well, English isn't the first language for either of us. XD For one it's Serbian, and for the other it's Greek. We mostly communicate in English cuz neither speaks the other one's language well enough for a normal conversation. XD Our comic is almost entirely translated to our natives too, but we're working on better phrasing here and there before we post it anywhere.

Also, one of us speaks Italian (although not well anymore from lack of use), and one speaks French and Spanish. We're both currently working on learning Russian, German, and Japanese, which we kinda need for our series.

Finnish is my native language and I'm fluent in english
I took some classes in swedish and german while I was in school and some day I'll actually pay effort and learn those two somewhat (at least one of them). Estonian is somewhat similar to finnish, so I can understand some parts of it, but that's all.

I know a little Italian but not enough to get me by. Oh wow! Hebrew? the writing looks difficult and part of the sounds seem hard. you can understand it? can you speak any of it? or say some word?

I can understand a little, because my wife is from Israel so I get used to a lot of words and way-to-say, but I never start to learn seriously so I don't know how to read or write.

Italian and spaniish are actually pretty similar, if you know spanish you can probably hear an italian speaking and get a rough idea of what he is saying, and yeah, tones were fun but I found to master them pretty hard, probably because my brain kept thinking on spanish whilst trying to talk in chinese D:

I am from México so I speak Spanish and english, When I write I make allmost all the work on spanish but sometimes my wires revolve and I do it in english, some of my pages are on spanish and english, but all the dialogues are in spanish first and dow the spanish dialogue I white it on english and higligth it whit other color so the traslate page is easyer to make

I think Norwegians have an easier time understanding Swedes than vice versa, right?
And Danish is apparently like speaking Norwegian while having a hot potato in your mouth (a norwegian described it that way to me, haha XD)

English (native), Norwegian, and I'm kinda intermediate-bordering advanced at Spanish now. Also know quite a lot of Catalan since everyone here speaks it. I know some German and I'd like to learn more, and a bit of French (the Spanish has helped my French weirdly).
I'd like to learn Japanese too, challenging...I only know like 3 words of it haha
I'm from England and I find my original accent really hinders me with most other languages, ugh, the dialect from my home town completely drops R's and many other consonants so I have to be careful to speak clearly, even in English >.<

English is my first language, but I speak French and Japanese as well. I'm learning German at the moment, as well as a little Portuguese and Spanish (I'm going on a trip and just want some basic phrases ^w^ ). I sing in Italian and Latin as well, but I wouldn't really be able to hold a conversation. I tried to learn Danish once, but it's really hard imo haha. Maybe one day...

My native language is Hungarian, but I guess I can speak English quite well, but I know I still make some mistakes >_> Also I learned and I'm still trying to learn French, and I know a little Dutch, mainly what I picked up in Belgium. I tried German for some months, while I studied there, but I decided I have enough problems already with my French so I'll try to stick to it :S

I'm terrible at learning languages, it's so hard when my own language doesn't have much similarity with any other language >_>

My mother language is Italian, but I speak English and I translate my own comic.
Then I am supposed to know French and German (I studied it in high school), but I never practiced them since the end of school.
I still understand and I can speak some French, but I don't remember much about German. German is a very difficult language and needs to be practiced constantly (at least for me ).

@legendriders96 I think English is a common language for communication. but Serbian? I don't know if I heard of that one before. that's wonderful to know you translate the comic into another language. that's amazing to learn all those language!

. @niinasalmelin I'm glad you let me know, I don't know many languages in familiarities other then the ones I'm used to. it's amazing to see there's a lot of people that learn English as their second language.

@jessiepolfliet So English is a second language. that's really neat, I always wonder if English was hard to learn for non English speakers.

@zoonland that's wonderful you translate your comics! I don't get to see a lot of comics in other languages because English it seems is a common ground for people to communicate. especially on a site like this. I bet it is! I heard German and it seems hard for me to learn just by the sounds.

@shinepaw Haven't heard Hungarian in a while, I think English allows for a lot of Mistakes, since I know in the US English is more slang then actual speaking. learning Languages is hard takes a lot of practice, and th ank you for the link! I'll look at it.

@cielle Oh my that's a lot of langages there under you and you sing in Italian! that's wonderful! and latin too, singing always harder then speaking that's amazing!
@Vanadis Catalan is new to me I'll have to look that up. I heard that Spanish has some similarities to French but there's a different accient to parts of the sounds.

@UltimateGallo I know someone at work from Mexico I heard mexico and Spain have different dialects. I do that sometimes I write a page in Korean but it's hard to translate it back to English. because of the meanin behind whats being said. wonderful you do your comi in another language!

yeah xD I have yet to meet anyone on tap that speaks bengali. But even kids here dont really learn it much other than how to speak it. Learning it was super hard tho. It has its own letters and grammar and what not so it took a lot of work to learn. lol I still cant really spell and my reading level is grade 5 at best xD

Probably yes - but I think that might be mostly because of a historical Swedish cultural dominance (we used to own Norway) than it has to do with Swedish being easier to learn.

YES. Norwegian is Swedish with a funny accent - Danish is Norwegian with a potato in your mouth. XD (please don't tell the Danish I said that).
