Do you name your chapters or do you just name them by number?

I have chapter names on the Page 1 of it, but because the title would get smushed it's left out of the episode selection. I love naming things far too much and they're no exception - currently only Reminder of Time is up, but among the titles on the script there's Tales of Terror, The Bitter Bittern and Flying off the Handle. Puns are great.

I use a number system, but I call my chapters "Files" instead. I thought it was a somewhat creative way to present it without having to put effort into making unique titles for each chapter!

I used to write chapter names, but then I found that I kinda had trouble naming them, or the names were just bad, so yeah, I stopped.

I usually write the number of the episode... it doesn't seem easy to me to find a title... my episodes are short... don't know if the title would somehow spoil the story... but now... after thinking about this, maybe it would help... I do read the titles and think about them... thank you for your help (even though this wasn't your first purpose...)

I always name my chapters. But I'll usually have a number in front like 1 - Eternity or something like that in the manuscript.

I never name them by chapter and numbers, but both.

Like first with the word "page", then a number, and then a title.

I name my chapters because it makes them more charming. It also helps set up what the chapter is about.

I always name my chapters.

Sometimes, it's simple, just a word or two, a keyword to help identify a chapter. Others might be made from a fun out of context line from the chapter.

One of my favorites is "You pulled what out of the toilet?"

I think it helps the readers find where they last left off. Plus, they're attention-grabbing, and we need all the attention we can steal from the reader.

I name all my episodes. I don't know, I like it when people name their episodes, and I also like to name mine. Originally I wanted every episode name to be named after a song, but since my comic is most likely going to be very long (give or take maybe about 125 episodes), I knew i was going to run out of songs eventually lmao.

So I just decided to name my chapters (like, sub-seasons i guess) after songs.

It's doubtful I would do this for future comics though. It seems fitting to do this with my current one, but not for any of the other ones I have planned (probably bc they're gonna be a lot longer)

I do both. Number them, name them and give them a chapter cover of their own. I usually try to tie the name in relation to the events of said chapter too if I can help it. Chapters can go for many pages in my comic so naming and numbering the chapters is important so that the reader doesn't feel like they're reading forever!

I name my chapters but I only add the names in the chapter covers! : )
I just use chapter in the title.

My chapters in Errant have names, generally following a pattern of a single word that could be read with different meanings (much like the title of the comic), like "Ruin" being the prologue that takes place in a ruin and also spells ruin for the characters, and the new chapter is called "Monster", which the reader can work out as they see fit.

I only put the title on the cover pages though, to avoid update names that get truncated on certain devices

I name my chapters! But I don't do chapter specific thumbnails (at least not for A Tokyo Summer, I did for Illusory).

On a side note, I really love the chapter naming style in the Enchanted Forest Chronicles, e.g.

• In Which Cimorene Refuses to Be Proper and Has a Conversation with a Frog
• In Which the Wizards Do Some Snooping, and Cimorene Snoops Back

I think they're super cute! Aerial Magic on webtoons also does this, although it's now on indefinite hiatus I didn't name my chapters this way bc it's more mysterious/atmospheric rather than lighthearted and fun, but if I wrote something light in the future I would want to try this!

I don't, and one of the most infuriating features of Tapas is that it demands that I give a title to every damn page. Why the hell is that field made mandatory?

I name every chapter by a David Bowie song and a title card. I thought it fit well with the setting.

I name my chapter depending on the theme of the story. Like for my current one I am naming them

Code 1, Code 2 etc

Cause it fits the theme of my book. One of the MC's is a police man, and the other is a camerman, but they both meet amidst a riot. And the first words that fall off my main characters lips is Code 1-37.

I like naming my chapters in general, I don't know, it's just fun.

Since mine is a "comic strip" and there is not always a continuity (there isn't a real single plot), I prefer to choose a title for each single episode. Some of them can be read whenever you want. However is always better to read from the first episode... because some elements will be revelad slowly.

However... I wanna thanks everyone who's subscribing to it. It means a lot to me. I'm glad you're appreciating this comics.
