Just doing a little research. I wanted to see how many people are experiencing the Virus up close, and if anyone encountered it personally.
At the moment, a sibling.
That is why I'm not making callous statements, or trying not, to boost my clout score. ( Not you, someone I know on Twitter. )
I need to start thinking carefully who are really my friends on Twitter.
Nobody I know "IRL", but I know a person or two I chat to on Discord with it. Doesn't sound like fun, so I'm holed up in my flat, very intent on not getting it.
Without test kit, it hard to say whether mild case of covid or simple stress-related sickness.
I dont have it(at least I think I dont- no way to be sure since MFers here dont have any way to test for it), nor do I know anyone that has it. Also since I do have a history of asthma, I'm not trying to put myself at risk trying to be around anyone that has it.
Given the fact that I havent keeled over yet, may mean I dont have it...but this pollen is murdering me enough.
The problem is, how do you know if you have allergy issues anyway?
There are several resources, explaining difference between coronavirus, allergies and flu, for example:
Adding to what @tired_programmer has linked, this video is pretty good at explaining the virus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtN-goy9VOY
I had a friend who exhibited all the Covid-19 symptoms except a fever so they wouldn't test him. I'm glad to report that he's doing much better now and had self-quarantined. If you or someone you know has been affected by it, just know you're in my thoughts.
Sorry to hear that. I hope they recover well!
Let us hope they can recover swiftly!
Some of my relatives know people with it. Idk what i'll do if I get it, i'll draw corona-chan so i'll die how I lived, a shitpost.
Someone that I used to dog sit for got it. She works at a hospital, I don't know which one but it's handling it poorly. They're forcing staff that are sick to keep working, and without face masks. Maybe it reduces panic but that's so many more people exposed, especially those who might have a weakened immune system. Someone at this hospital needs to be sued once everything has passed.
Same. Lot of Europe folks.
One of my friends contracted it, but she's currently in Ireland, waaaaaaay too far away, although she might have contracted it before boarding her plane. She seems optimistic and gearing towards recovery so for the time being she will be fine.
Stay in touch with her, make sure she has that support!!
She's on the way out already, so it looks like the crisis was averted!
You mean she on Death's door, but she pulling through?
They recently opened a drive thru test center near my area (I'm in the US), but it reached daily capacity within like 30 minutes of opening. So I ain't getting tested. Buuuut I'm 95% sure I have it, and am recovering from it. Currently on day 14 of showing symptoms. Been staying home the whole time
Get well soon! Well done for being sensible and staying home!
