Reading novels still swings it for me. That said, I never really read comics growing up and I've only been getting more into them in the last year or so, so it's got a fair bit of catching up to do. Novels are much more flexible as a format, with more options to play around with, plus I'm a total language nerd so I think they'll always hold top spot for me, both for reading and creating, but that doesn't mean I don't love comics. Working on mine has been tonnes of fun, and I can see it being something I'll fall in love with doing and render me unable to stop, haha, but I am finding restrictions I haven't had to deal with before.
Neither writing them or drawing them is easy. I would be more inclined to say that drawing them is slightly easi_er_, if only because it's so easy to produce bad writing. Because all the visualisation and engagement relies on plain text, it better be very good text - and that's much easier said than done.
