Hi there! I have a Redbubble and a Storenvy. I just have phone cases on my Redbubble, and people seem to like those! I have a bunch of other stuff on Storenvy, from prints to keychains to stickers, anything I can make myself and physically sell at cons. I also have copies of my comic for sale there. I like using both, I think it's fun to send out orders from storenvy (I get so see who bought it and send a little thank you note to them), and it's also nice how Redbubble takes care of making and shipping for you, since it probably wouldn't be cost effective for me to make and sell phone cases on my own.

All of your designs are really funny! I love the play on words. I think my favorites are the chili pepper and "I'm a pro(crastinator)". I hope you enjoy having your online stores and get lots of sales! Good luck!

I'm curious about the quality of the products sold through these sites.

Also do you get customers from the site itself or do you have to promote your items to make a sell?

I started with Zazzle but found I can sell cheaper from Printful also the quality of Zazzle was not always great. I kind of like Printful, their service plugs directly into my wordpress site through woocommerce. But I haven't seen the results yet. http://tfti.inkorpora.com/shop

I have both Society 6 and Redbubbe, but I only use Redbubble. I started using Redbubble specifically because I wanted stickers and Society 6 didn't have it tbh. Your redbubble stuff is cute btw, love the mayo with fries one... I lowkey like mayo with fries... Despite the fact that I hate mayo, so I feel this lol.

I have a Threadless and Redbubble store, but like many others, I only use Redbubble at this point :3
I bought my own merch on there as a test print and was pretty happy with the shirt quality and stickers! Hopefully I'll be able to update it soon with new stuff, but Im very open to learning about other stores, especially ones that are good for keychains!

I'm all new to selling online and never heard of storenvy. Why do you like that platform and what are their conditions (is it fixed monthly rate or do they take commission?) How many things do you sell there on average per month? Do you do any marketing as well?

I don't have any personal experience with quality, but I hear it's good. As well if you're not happy with the quality, you can get a refund quite easily. So it's kind of risk free.

I just finished uploading my designs yesterday, so I haven't sold anything (yet :D). I think you have to do pretty much all the marketing when you're a new user and later if they like your work and you already have some following, they can feature you on the front page for example or on their instagram etc. The beginning is the hardest!!

Never heard of Printful. It looks really nice on your website! Is Printful like S6 and RedBubble that they do all the work for you and you get a small commission? How much traffic does your website get normally per month and where does it mostly come from?

Howlong have you been on RB and do you market your page as well? Are you already in a point where you make some sales every month?

Are you interested in making the products by yourself and shipping them or are you looking for similar sites like RB where you just upload the artwork and they do the rest?

I started this site last month, in the last 7 days I got around 200 users (2000 page views). I've been promoting myself for years on Facebook, twitter and recently instagram. My traffic comes from there and webcomic lists, forums, wherever I post. I also ran a few campaigns on project Wonderful, without much success.

They do all the work (printing, shipping), they provide a basic description of the product that you plug on your site. All products have a base price, The cheapest t-shirts are 12.50 and then you add whatever you want on top. Zazzle works the same, but you can't plug it on your site as far as I know. Their base price is more expensive in general too.

I have a Redbubble, feel free to visit. I really like it, but I havent had a lot of time to dedicate to making art for it between kids, college, and my comic lol. Hopefully I can make some more work soon >.>

Well right now I have barely any marketing other than on Tapastic cause Im so busy with school and crap, so not much sales coming my way at the moment. However Im gonna try to bunker down on it in the summer so we'll see then ;3

As for making products in general, I'd ultimately like to make my own prints and sticker by myself and ship them but for larger more complex items like shirts and accessories like that, I'm thinking of just using sites like RB for that.

Thank you! Storenvy is pretty similar to Etsy-- in fact the only reason I didn't use Etsy was because they had some fees that Storenvy didn't (I first started my store a couple years ago so things may have changed since then). Storenvy basically just provides a place for you to list your products and handles your transactions. You have to make and ship your items yourself, but personally I think that's fun and I can make more of a profit than with sites like Redbubble. I'll post on tumblr and twitter when I list a new product but other than that I don't do a whole lot of marketing...I really should if I want more sales but it just hasn't been a priority. I haven't really sold enough there lately to have a monthly average...but over the few years that my shop has been open I've made 22 sales. My Redbubble has been a lot more successful, but I haven't really looked into why that may be. Honestly my online stores are more of a secondary thing for me, so I don't spend as much time analyzing and promoting them as I could, but I still hope some of this was helpful!

Your designs are cute! My favorite is the pizza one because pizza is life. (I guess working at a pizza place for 7 years makes me a little biased)

I have an Etsy for my comic stuff! So far I've only sold the books, but I'm not too surprised. People are always more interested in the content than the merchandise.

I get scattered results and I don't mind that. I go to conventions to make any serious amount of money.

I'm just about to set up a Redbubble. Do any of you have good tips for starting out? I find the concept great, but don't have a firm grasp at what ppl might be interested in... it seems here is quite some experience gathered already. Great thread btw!
