If you're into stories about kids with superpowers who have no idea what they're doing, I'd love for you to check out Heroic Shenanigans!
Happy birthday! I hope you're having a great day and finding some cool new things to read! I launched a kickstarter for my comic comic last week and it's almost halfway funded, so that's been pretty exciting! Here it is if you'd like to check it out!
Not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I feel like the letters are more horizontally aligned in the bottom version. Either way, I would make the "a" a little wider and rounder to match more with the other letters. Over all it's a pretty fun, legible font. Also, kerning is the distance b…
I'll often feel really inspired to work on my own story whenever I read/watch something that I really enjoy (sometimes to the point where I'll be watching a movie and will stop focusing on it because I've started daydreaming about my comic, oops) I know for me at least I love that creative rush that…
Here's my comic, Heroic Shenanigans! It's currently on kickstarter to print the first volume!
My comic, Heroic Shenanigans, is about superhero summer camp! It's on hiatus in between chapters at the moment, but I'm currently kickstarting the first volume! Check it out if printed books are your thing!
Congrats on all those successful kickstarters! I just launched my first one too.

Oh man, I totally remember flipping to channel 3 to watch VHS tapes! I also had a device that was specifically for rewinding tapes, haha. I wonder how many people had those. You've probably already talked about Pokemon, but as far as video games go Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are by far the most nos…
The final page Heroic Shenanigans' third chapter! So excited to be done. [image]
I think it can depend on the printer what the yellow area will be,but half an inch is probably a good estimate. And yes, looks like your calculations are correct for a 8.5x11 page size with a .25 inch bleed. Happy to help!

I think it's less about policing and more about common courtesy. You don't have to be a child to not want to be subjected to explicit content without warning! Of course you can't control what people post online, and ultimately it's up to you to avoid things you don't want to see, but this is still a…

This stuff can be confusing if you're not used to thinking about it!
The bleed is on all sides of the canvas, so if you have a .25 in bleed, you add .25 to the left and the right, so a total of .5 in to turn 8.5 into 9. Same for the top and bottom.

For printing it's really important to understand bleed, and the difference between bleed and trim. In the image a couple posts above, the red area is the bleed. This is the part that gets cut off. The purpose of bleed is to keep your pages from having little white edges. If the edges of the pages ar…
