They can't do that unless you let them but you have to understand whenever you present something, or you land a deal, that work you prize is no longer yours. It's why they pay you for it. You're going to have to let go at least a little bit. If it really bothers you that much, you can take a legal consultant with you.

Uhhh hmm an anime? I mean, I guess, but honestly I feel like an animated series based in the US would be more realistic cuz I live in the US

I understand they could change things, but honestly as long as I got the comic finished by then then at least my version of the story is out there somehow.

Crescent Blue was BORN to be made into an anime!

Hell when I first began crafting the series in my head, I'd always imagine scenes playing out like they would in an anime. In fact, I still do this.

Although I do feel comfortable handing over my series to any company. I just don't feel any of the popular animation studios out could really capture what I have in mind for my series. I do have plans on make an animated adaption of it in the future once I have the skill, reach, and right people.

I have mixed feelings about it to be honest. Partially because I agree with Alan Moore’s stance and feel that my works are specifically designed to be OEL manga and would NOT hold up in translation, and partially because I know that anime adaptations generally tend to respect the source material more than their Western counterparts. If it were to happen I would include the following criteria:
A) That it NOT be dubbed.
B) That it respects the source material’s Englishness.
C) That it has a drama CD adapting an entire arc produced alongside it.
D) That I would like to be executive producer and have an interpreter.
E) That its art style be replaced by a more generic anime style - at present it is too ugly to translate well into animation.
This is because I have heard about what those Hollywooders did to the Wardstone Chronicles, V for Vendetta and suchlike, but I have also heard about how the process even in the Orient is not perfect, and this I am uneasy about because Nixvir CANNOT be garbled like that.

I love the idea if my comics and/or novels were animes! But personally I would love to animate it myself! But that would be so hard to do! Since drawing is already hard work on itself! One day I will learn how to animate small gifs. Until then!

When I write and draw I image it's an anime anyway, that sometimes I'd say, "I have to get back to my show!" It's true!

I’d be thrilled to have my works adapted! However I don’t know if an “anime” would always be the best medium of adaption. In a best case scenario I could get my stuff adapted to something like demon slayer, komi can’t communicate, or the upcoming chainsaw man, something that looks gorgeous and is really well animated. But I don’t even know if that would be likely and I’d probably just see my works be cheaply animated. I don’t really even draw in an “anime” style. I’d be happy with a 10 episode live action Netflix adaptation tbh.

I looked to both Action & horror anime such as Hellsing and Blood+ and tv series like stranger things as influences for episode structure, so it shouldn't be hard to adapt into live action series/anime.

So yes! I'd be happy once it's a skilled studio that is passionate about the genres and themes of the comic. My comic was originally an idea for an Action-adventure Horror videogame so in a way it did jump mediums. As a comic the story expanded outside the strict rules of game mechanics. It's now a Superhero x Horror x Battle Royale. Shonen anime does a great job at capturing the struggles, failure and growth of a young hero over the course of their series, which is something I try to emulate also.

Absolutely! Though I consider 'Anime" as nothing more then a cartoon made in Japan. But, no matter where it's made, I would absolutely love that! I feel like because of the way the issues are structured I'd work best as like a 12 part mini-series, 1 episode per issue, along with a "Jerry The Brain Gerbil" segment at the end of each episode.

Most of us wanted to reach that point including myself but depending on the studio on how much they would adapted properly.

Personally, I would be more confident with a Japanese animation studio to adapt my story than an American one. They can be a bit more faithful to your source material.

Oh my god, yes, yes, YES. I even have some ideas for making it unique.

Since my character is the only anime character in a world full of stick figures, I thought it would be funny that in the english dub if he was the only one with an anime VA while everyone else has a western VA. Not only that, but I would like Naota (my protag) to be the only over the top one while every other character talk like the characters from Smiling Friends.

Like how despite them living in a bizarre world, they still manage to have the most grounded conversations that you can only find in real life.

I'd also be open for filler episodes created by the staff since my comic isn't really long.
