Redoing old pages can be a trap, I don't really advocate it unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO for resolution/printing reasons or something!
HMMMMM.
One thought: some comics have a "beginning of arc" or "beginning of current story" type button in addition to "first/next/last," which might be useful if you have little mini-arcs and can figure out how to implement that.
Another thought that's easier: A "random comic" button. A lot of the gag-a-day comics people've listed have this -- it might seem counterintuitive, but a couple of things it's really good for is (a) it communicates REALLY CLEARLY "you don't have to read this comic in order," and (b) if someone is turned off by older art and hits the "first" button, they're unlikely to trawl the archives. But if someone is turned off by older art, hits the "random" button, and gets older art, they're much more likely to hit random again and see what else they get.
But like, are you proud of that work, and do you still want it to be considered part of your comic, or does it feel outdated and no longer representative of you? If you don't want to keep it in the archive, I would think that's perfectly fine! But it'll be a never ending battle trying to keep a comic archive trimmed to only your most recent work, plus it's hard to guess what other people are thinking -- who knows if someone bounced because of Old Art or because I Came Here Because Of A Game of Thrones Parody But This Comic Isn't Usually About Game of Thrones.
