Does anyone else legitimately practice Witchcraft? Just me?...okay-

Used to do some spells until I had horrible sleep paralysis encounters with demons. Ever since I repented of a lot of my sins and became a Christian (im not the best example of a Christian), the sleep paralysis stopped.

Sleep paralysis came back for a brief moment when I was reigniting hatred I've had for many people who have wronged me. Murderous on some of them. And when I realized that's the fruit of harboring hatred on people and being unforgiving, I repented. Then sleep paralysis went away.

seriously im not making this stuff up, i dunno if it counts as witchcraft though...

tried to make some "potions" mixed all sorts of stuff like rum, scotch, vodka, egg, chilli peppers, coca cola and milk, thinking it would boost my strength and focus...

lets see... i used to try and summon a sex slave woman, seriously i really did!

and when i was younger i tried to acquire telekinetic powers

i sacrificed a fish and a trinket that belonged to my cousin, summoning protection and blessings...

and recently i experiment with fire, used spray cans, lighters, fuel and create make shift flame throwers and burn insects, especially this huge spider that came out of the toilet!!! seriously it was a creepy mofo!!

I, too, am a witch, but I have yet to learn or practice witchcraft. Someone must've put a spell of laziness on me, darn it!

I used to but I wasn't into casting spells. It was more for meditation.

I used to be a very angry person but reading up on Wicca did change my perspective and I am so much more chill.

I'm told I do witchy things. But I'm indigenous and practice shamanism. We use herbs and do energy stuff so maybe to outsiders it is.
I do know many real, non fad witches. druids, etc. I also know wiccans too. Here in Canada you can be officially ordained a wiccan priest or priestess. Just like the catholic and such churches do. It involves alot of study and such.
My husband calls my stews witchy stuff. Because its basically the same. I just make a good pot of home made soup but then herbs grown in my garden to help with medical issues I have.
As for magic I see it as energy manipulation.
Ive been mentoring people in thier special abitiles since I was a teenager. Parents have reached out to me for help.
Ive seen people tested for psychokenetic stuff in actual labs that prove some crazy stuff too.

I know some people who are into the metaphysical property of crystals. I personally think of it more like a suggestion and placebo effect, but it is quite interesting to know.

We are more into shamanism stuffs here, even in modern time and influence from systematic religions it is still thick in our blood (perhaps). Many people still believe it. I've attended events where magic is supposedly being used and hear stories about curses, human sacrifice, and such.
My spiritual aptitude is low, but I am open to possibilities. There are so much we don't know.

I don't touch those things because it attracts both positive and negative spirits. Same with shamanism, but here's a really cool story. My mother said that when I was 2 years old a shaman tries to attack me, she deflected that and it attacked that shaman. My mother is also a shaman. She told me that she had been attacked by multiple shamans in the past but none succeed. Thankfully we don't live in a refugee camp where all these negative energy was so heavily concentrated, at least not anymore.

When I was younger I've thought about getting into shamanism but after realizing that it's a lifelong commitment I decided that it wasn't worth it.

I'm heavily into esotericism, though I'm more high mage than witchcraft. I don't currently do any spells or evocation beyond prayer and basic divination. I've put a lot of real-world occult lore into my comic, as well!

I actually use alot of spiritual stuff in my manga. And only 2 people have picked up on those easter eggs so far.

Yep there are good and bad Shamans. And Ive met my fair share of messed up individuals.
Yes it is a life long commitment, I never chose mine really. My elders and such saw it in me to help people based on my skills and how I am.

Over here the good ones are counsellors to help with pain, mental illness, emotional support. etc Empowering yourself and balance of light and dark is key. Help with healings of one mind, body and soul, Dealing with spirits (handing the bad ones), ancestors, etc. In our culture there is no stuff. Like no animal sacrifice, nor harming people. They only kill an animal to eat it and then pray for its life because it will feed others. Its a quick kill for no suffering.
Think it depends on what part of the world it comes from. Some of the documentaries Ive seen is hard for me to stomach. I know some from the amazon and africa. But leave out alot of the darker stuff for their modern practice.

Alot of the wiccan, etc stuff get false misunderstandings/rumours based on modern society. Been called a demon alot myself since I was a child.
I know people in Voodoo even. And real Satanism (which is about empowering ones self, and relying on ones self and no harm to others. the fake fad version is the wierd dark culty stuff).

Some cultures from back then did human sacrifice for different reasons. Some volunteered for it. Beliefs are strong in people. Some religions follow a strict doctrine of rules like dont bathe on sundays or something.

Like anything what ever you get into. Just be careful and educated on first. Find a mentor in it even. No different than climbing a mountain. Can have the good and bad and or the ulgy.

Yes, I agree with you.

I just left out a lot of details because I thought it was not related since it is a thread about witchcraft. But I should've been more thorough because I have a family member that didn't get to choose this path but had to deal with it. I am grateful it didn't choose me, however sometimes I feel like spirits have always wanted to communicate with me though, like through dreams and stuff. There are certain times I sense the presence of a deceased one but I could never see them.
