I know that webcomics are a very long and tiring process where only after a long period of time can you actually get a real following but does anyone know what the average growth of a webomic is?
So what's really been confusing me is the different levels of growth I've gotten from both Webtoon and Tapas:
My Webcomic on Tapas for some reason had 200 subscribers a few hours after I posted the first episode, which was really a surprise for me but as I've been uploading my views, likes, and subs have been going down, I'm not sure if this is normal (though this is not to say that my views are rock bottom, I'm just saying that 200 subs after 1 chapter and then after 4 chapters an additional 100 seems kinda off to me, but then again I will admit that my first 5 chapters have been dragging on)
My Webcomic on Webtoon on the other hand has had slow growth but unlike Tapas there has been a more average / steady stats per update, I get 10 + subs per update, about 8 likes and 100+ views per update
So which one these is the average way webcomics grow because this seems very strange to me, if I had to guess my comic on webtoon is the average one since there was no immediate spike in subs / views
Also I just want to note that I hope I'm not coming off as ungrateful for the love and support I have been receiving so far with my webcomic, It's just that I'm really curious as what to realistically expect of my work and also if I should be worried about my comic on webtoon seeing as that one has less overall stats than the one on Tapas or if maybe the webtoon version is what is considered normal and that the one on Tapas was just a stroke of good luck
So yeah just to summarize I'd like to know what is the average growth of a webcomic and also what was / is the average growth of your webcomic
