Hey guys!

Its been a while since I joined in, more than a year ig.

So as the title suggests, it may sound a little clickbaity but it is not. Well, if you are here for some kind of cheat or secret trick, then you won't find it here. I am going to share you something that I did while I was active here. I was new at that time, wrote my first novel, which is currently on hiatus lol. Anyways, in the span of 28 chapters, I gained over 550 subscribers, and I am not lying when I say this, but I was starting to get hundreds of views and tens of followers everyday by the time I was 200 subscribers.

But ofc, I went offline, dumb me.

To the main point, the best way to gain traction is to appear on the website. Your book should be visible to the other people. Right now, I have started writing a book for the Action Fantasy Contest, Saint of Madness3, and I am going to try it again.

For appearing on the website, its a really simple trick. You have to be calculative. There are three things you have to keep in mind:

  • Write consistently
  • Write good quality
  • Timing

ngl, the first two things r just to mak esure that the readers who come to your novel are not disappointed.

By timing, I mean the timing as which you upload your novel or comics. For a week, if you can't, for a few days, look at the timings of the viral comics and novels. When do they upload their chapters? Is it consistent? Or something different?
Swipe through lots of stories and find one which gets the most traction at the time of upload.

That is the timing that you have to mark on. When a majority of the readers are active is when you stand a chance to even compete for the rankings.

I know it sounds a bit of a hassle to do all this instead of just focusing on your writing and I won't disagree. But, if your motive is to increase in rankings as well, then you will have to find some way or other to make more and more people see your book.

Regardless, if you have enough time to promote your novel on forums, I would say, a much better option would be to follow the guidelines I wrote here.

Idk why I shared it since it took me some time to understand it all as well.

Anyways, I hope you learnt something good from this, and share this to more and more people.

Also, don't forget to check my novel submission for the Action fantasy contest, Saint of Madness3

good luck with your novel!

if you have any time to explain further, what do you mean by studying timings? how do you know when most of your potential readers are around?

sure, as I mentioned you have to spend some time for that. If you upload on a daily basis, you can try and check different timings for the week.

The responses will differ accordingly, and so will your ranking on the chart.

This new novel that I was talking about wasn't in the rankings a few days back, but right now its in the top 50s of the community novels.

Doesn't matter if your views are not 100k, what matters is tht speed of growth that you are displaying. If you are getting more views and reactions in a particular frame of time, try to upload it at the same time.

Because, once its in the rankings, like top 10 or stuff, its only a matter of time before real interested readers reach out to you.
