Hey all, I've been away for a tragically long time and probably missed out on some great stuff here. I've been through a lot, went through a total creative death and rebirth and eventually came out for the better. I was never too active on here, and only spoke to a couple of people but I did like what I had here. I had my own small manga a while ago and I never really gave it the life it needed on here. I never stopped working on it and so it's evolved like me a lot, so I'm looking forward to bringing it to those interested sometime soon, like "cthulu about to sneeze" soon. Cthulu may take eons to sneeze, and although we wont notice the amount fo time passing because in the 9th dimension time flows backwards but I'll try not to take too long for my sake.

Anyway, I'd like to know what you guys have been up to within the last couple months to a year; big events, rather important events, all relating to your growth as an artist, world builder or storyteller. I'd even love to see some before/after pics for your art! Post em and I'll try to throw my stuff up here too so we can feel good about ourselves lol ;u;

I'm just trying to get involved in the Tap community since I joined and started posting my comic, and it's kind of strange the way the art's changed in just 34 pages - the art at the beginning looks different already and I'm just, what's going on. x'D

Uh, let's see, art style befores and afters...

I started a comic back in april and made it to the 50 page mark!! with my track record of never finishing anything past 13 pages I'm really happy with myself for that! It's also done wonders for my art and the update schedule gave my life the structure it needed :v

I've been busting my ass working on my pet project, Life of an Aspie on and off though now I'm fully committed to a constant Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. One good thing I have to say is that at the start of the year, I had less than 10 subscribers. Now I have almost 120 as of this post. So yeah, to anybody new to making webcomics struggling to carve out a niche for themselves, hard work as well as constant networking (I always say work smarter, not harder) definitely pays off in the long run.

Hello and welcome back! I run the comic Wednesday 7 and I update once a week (I'd like to do more but too much commitment!) As for the style change I completely agree with you! It's weird how much my style has changed , at least in my eyes. I think the biggest change I see is more uses of gradients now and shading with more color? You seem to have also improved! I see bolder shadows and more vibrant colors. I like it ^_^

Thanks, I still have it up here but it's not representative in a lot of ways of its current incarnation. It's a Seinen fantasy manga with a heavy emphasis on cosmic horror. The general idea is that humanity in my world is a heavily millitarized society that uses the undead to fight an endless war against immortals. The first main character has a really unfortunate power gifted to him that is both deadly to those around him and very sought after by people who want monsterous power. The second main character, though no less important, is one of the immortals from the rivalling nation. She is a millitary trained assassin who ends up getting lethally infected by the mc and gets framed in a cover up.

Art can change fast, not surprised you draw differently after just 30 pages. Whether it's because it's easier or you found it prettier it'll probably change at least 20 more times. Seems like you started using a much heavier shading method at the least! It looks super pretty too, I'll check your stuff out in a bit ;u;

Hot damn the asthetic for yours is really within what I already like, and it seems to be about vampires/monsters at first! I'm def gonna try yours out too. and 50 pages! More than I got to before, keep at it! I also know about needing structure in life, got that feel too :x

Nice! Success stories are really motivating for me. You'll ahve to continue busting your ass for that story tho because only someone with asperger's syndrome is capable of making a story about it as real as it needs to be. Keep at it, probably a fair few people who would feel less isolated seeing that comic.

Hey thanks! I'm getting a bunch of comics to keep up with now through this thread so I'll keep an eye on yours too! Looking at your stuff it seems like you started shading a bit more instead of having as many hard shadows. Also, your lines got much nicer and also a bit thinner in some cases which imo is better but is probably a matter of taste.

Ah also before I forget, since style change is a big topic here I shoudl probably throw my devart gallery at you peeps. I don't really need to explain how much things have changed, it probably looks like a bunch of different artists posting stuff there but it's just me experimenting lol.
