Hi,
I'm pretty new to Tapastic and drawing comics but I am really hoping to continue further. I have started a comic called Apparition Appreciation2 but I am forever stuck on drawing on sketchbook and would really like to upgrade to a better program. Can anyone recommend a good and relatively cheap drawing program for me to use?
This is an example of my drawing style on sketchbook if that is helpful?

I second clip studio paint, it's a pretty varied software and even offers animation. If you want something completely free though check out medibang paint, it's pretty good too!

I've never heard of medibang before but i will probably use that whilst looking for something better smile

Definitely pick up Clip Studio Paint if you can while it's on sale! It's a superb program that helps immensely with comic production. There are so many materials and resources and tools that it features...it's absolutely worth it. It can cut down production time significantly and helps to streamline the process. My production has greatly increased since I went entirely digital with it. There are also plenty of tutorial videos and resources!

I haven't tried clip studio. I'd definitely buy it since it's on sale and play with it. On the other hand, I'd definitely recommend Medibang Paint Pro if you prefer free stuffs.

Agreeing with everyone else - get Clip Studio Paint! They've got a sale going on right now, and it's, like 70% off or something like that. REALLY worth the money - and the latest version of the program comes with an animation tool!

+1 for Clip Studio Paint

Its versatility is not easy to ignore.

There's tutorials and downloadable addons. I think at one point I got 300+ brushes for 7usd.

Another thing to be sure not to miss once you get it is the page http://www.clipstudio.net/en/dl/materials/1

You can download literally dozens of free brushes here that have been officially made and provided to users!

http://www.clipstudio.net/en/dl also has samples and various other things, some of which are for use only with EX, and others of which any version can use.

It took me months before I noticed the Materials page, so I hope you'll take advantage of it sooner! smile Although I don't use all of the brushes there, I use several frequently, and they are very good brushes. They save so much time with work that would otherwise be tedious drudgery.

Woahhh thanks! i will definitely be using that page!

Clip Studio Paint has been very good to me so far here line drawing is concerned and it's an excellent and affordable program as others have said above me! You should give it a try now that it's on sale. :3

Yeah I'm planning to but i have to reset my computer so i have to wait frowning i hope its still on sale then !!

MangaStudio EX51 on sale right now. UPDATE: Guess I didn't get the memo on MangaStudio changing it's name to Clip Studio Paint. smile Thought you guys were talking about a completely separate program.
