I've been drawing a WILD amount of side profiles in the last few pages I'm working on. I just wanna see how everyone else draw their characters in side profile. Not looking for tips just...looking? lol

I have this recent panel of Maor in side profile.

My new episode (releases at noon EST today) shows Bobbie and David in profile view

a lot of intense staring going on here. let's break it up a bit

or... fix it up...?

:smile:

Rarely because I think it's kinda difficult. :sweat_smile: I'll have to practice for confidence.

This is all I could find that's recent(ish).

cool side profiles buddy. keep up the good work! :grin:

heres some of mine...

I love how you draw side profiles!
I'm still learning. cus honestly, it's very hard! :sob:

This thread actually made me go through some art to see how I handle it.

With photo references;

Without;

Without is a lot more generic a face methinks. But the top is meant to be an illustration you look around a bit and the bottom is a panel meant to quickly convey information before the reader scrolls past the panel with it barely registering because people read comics poorly.

Thanks everyone who has replied so far! The forums are still a little wonky but I think I've hearted all I've seen! I love the variety from all the different styles!

Yeah, from time to time, I use the side profile.

Oh boy, I actually love drawing side profiles and I have tons of those! Here are some examples.

I LOVE profiles. Can't get enough of 'em.
