Drop in new subs?

So, uh... Anyone seen a drop in new subs since the update?
Maybe I just suck but I've been noticing a dramatic slowdown of new subs since the site update.

Relevant info: comic has 69k subs, updates daily (so no weird spikes and drops due to that), is mature so it is hidden on the app, it is currently promoted in the vampire feature section so I imagine it could have been even worse without it. My patreon growth came to a standstill around the same time the site updated. By standstill I mean no new patrons, which for a big creator translates to "losses are not compensated". Usually you expect losses to be compansated plus a bit extra meaning a slow growth, but around the site update i saw only lost patrons without new ones to make up for it, and the subs on the lowest day were barely enough to equate what I assume I lost in subs (yeah when you have big numbers it also means big daily unsubs).

I don't want to complain too much because I know tapas is working hard to fix it and I really love this site, but that one standstill day on patreon really scared me. I'm trying my hardest to keep my company growing until they get it fixed but I really do hope the algorithm and general site setup is something they're planning to fix because right now mature comics that aren't trending are vanishing into the void.

(My patreon has begun to recover, just thought I'd mention because I don't want anyone to pity me, all I wanted was to provide relevant information)

Yep, i most defiantly have and i don't even check. it took a shit ton of weeks to reach 4k and even with that, it dragged a while before i got there. now reaching 5k seems like its gonna be a year work and honestly at this point. i'm good. i will focus on the readers i already have. not to mention the new website dosen't help much *sigh...

Honestly? As much as I would try and find any reason to complain about this update, I have not noticed in any unusual changes so far. View counts are only low because I didn't do an update this week but it's not anything shocking compared to the rare times I had to skip in the past. I did get my normal amount of subs so far too. So all is fairly normal for me.

My Patreon also took a hit but not as much as I diversified to other websites. Still, it was noticeable.

I honestly haven’t noticed anything, my veiws likes and subs are roughly the same as they have been for the past two months, but I’m a small comic creator so No idea if that is gonna matter to the new algorithm.

We should remember it is March and from my memory this is the time period where people are dealing with spring break and having their kids home Or scheduling trips. There’s always gonna be slower months then others. We’re also having elections in the US and people are freaking out about the virus so a lot of viewership eyes are on news sights and watching numbers right now. I’d wait to see how this Month compares to April.

I dunno if it cheers anyone else up, but I like to imagine that the comics affected by the site redesign (mine included) have been tossed into the abyss from hollow knight to fight their own spooky siblings.

I didn't get that many subs anyway, but I feel like there has been a drop in views. But I just started a hiatus this week, so maybe that has to do with it. I don't know, things have just felt really slow this month.

Its terrible. it's like a math equation to find that S***. i don't understand how they designed this and thought it was a good idea. i mean, i like the concept but they changed so many essential things that didn't need to be tampered with. if i didn't know any better i'd say they are trying to weed out some people. i could be wrong.

I don't know when(or if) they are going to fix it, so far I just post new pages on webtoon... Because if both of sites censor our comic, I'd prefer something that have more audience.

If I am allowed to theorize, I believe it's more an attempt to create an algorithm that gives visibility to more people while maintaining a high turn ratio of viewers-to-subscribers. The tapas peeps have good intentions and are passionate about creative freedom and diversity last time I checked, the only thing I can imagine them wanting to weed out is hateful and/or illegal content.
