This trailer is so beautiful! Your art and animation are gorgeous, and the whole design of the trailer is so intriguing and well-executed - I love it!
@DiegoPalacios
This is perfect. There are no further comments that could ever possibly be made.
@TadxSarah
These both have really nice editing! The pacing works really well!
... my comic has had a few trailers now.
The first two were really simple - just an excuse to showcase the music (I write an ost to go alongside the comic), and let people know that it exists. Despite this, I still feel like the first trailer turned out pretty well:
I didn't have much time for the second one, so rushed it. But, I was really happy with the piece of music I wrote to go with it, so made it longer anyway, just to showcase a bit more of that:
The third trailer I took a bit more seriously - I did short animations, mocked up a couple of abstract scenes in Blender, and used the space in the middle to fade through a montage of images depicting bits of the story so far. I don't think it's anything special? But it was definitely the most ambitious yet:
For volume 3 I'd spent too much time on one promotional video, and the whole thing was woefully under-publicised. I only have maybe, three regular readers, but when two of them didn't know it was starting again, I realised something had clearly gone wrong So, I approached volume 4 a little differently.
First off, there were three short clips meant for social media, that used not-quite-animations to provoke a little visual interest:
...I'm especially happy with the explosion in the third one.
The trailer for the fourth volume of my comic, which only started this week is super-arty, super-abstract, and the most complex yet. Featuring real animation™, more abstract Blender scenes, bits of the earlier promotional clips, and perhaps the smoothest editing of any of the clips so far, I'm really quite happy with it, and it got a lot of nice comments from friends:
...so there we go! There are all my trailers! If you have a favourite/favourite bit, please let me know - I'd be super interested to know how I can improve! I don't get to make them often, but when I do I really enjoy it.
If you've somehow not already worked it out, my comic is called "Pony Magic Fairy Girls" and you can read it here:
