Eagle, you said min of 20 pages, how do you review the story if it has more than 100+ pages?

That's only a unrelated question, because mine comic is only just starting lol!
Well if you have the time (and interest) can I signup for my comic?

Err yea well my art is very amateur but I'm hoping what does a season veteran on comic feels about the story on my comic. I'm always up for different point of view.

@Zannen00, I either start at the beginning, or I start where you tell me to. I am going to read a minimum of 20 pages, so if there is a particular section that you think stands out, or that you have questions about, you might want to give me a link to that section. Several have done just that. And everyone in the thread is signed up. I will do them in the order that the first message was posted. The first one is almost done, so I should be able to get a couple of these a week done. That might go faster, as reading webcomics is something I do to unwind from the rest of my day.

Hmmm, the hardest part about this is deciding what pages I want you to look at. Chapter 2 is more of a 'big reveal' chapter that shows what's going on, but I get more compliments on chapter 3. XD

I guess I'll say chapter 3 since I think you can still get some idea of what's going on by the dialogue...I hope. However, that's 27 pages total...

This page to the end of the chapter is 20 pages exactly. You'll know you're done once you hit the "Ask Daniel" silly bonus page (ignore that).

Or of course you can still check out CHAPTER 3 at my Tapastic page, and just find the page I linked to and scroll down. It's the eigth page down (counting the cover).

Alright I enjoy a good critique! If you'd like you can read Morgan and Dragons Grogthor and Jennet has gotten enough so I know what I'm doing with them in later installments. Morgan and dragons on the other hand is relatively new.

Its a comic based on a table top game session with me and my friends. Starting with The end of session one and the beginning of session two is probably best~ Thats about 24 pages and you can continue reading if you want or start from the beginning and read the first two sections That will have 20 pages if you prefer that. Both will have a lot of the comity and the seriousness that revolves around the story as well as the fantasy and gamer aspects of it.

I have a question !
You seem to be reviewing the story exclusively but I fail to see how you plan to do that if you jump directly into chapter 3 for example... Won't you be confused without the intro of the characters, the context etc ?
I mean, you can judge the rythm and flow of the pages but it seems difficult to judge the story as a whole without the beginning right ?
It's not a criticism, I have yet to read your first review but I'm honestly curious...

Good question. I am almost done with the first review, and will be posting the link in this thread later today.
But your situation hasn't come up yet. One of the things that published comics tend to do is something called a jump-on point. A place where a new reader can come in without feeling lost. This is a huge improvement over the way comics were written up until the mid 70's, where each issue explained the characters and relationships AGAIN.
I am assuming that if someone puts me on a particular page as a starting point, that the story can be picked up from that point going forward. If not, then the problem you are asking about becomes real. I will have to see how this goes, and if it is a problem, redo some of the parameters.

You could ask them for a summary of what happens before that point but it might not be accurate because what is clear for the author might not be that transparent for the readers...
So they might end up telling you things that they didn't manage to convey correctly and wouldn't have been that obvious if you had read the beginning on your own...

On the other hand, if you always read the first 20 pages without jumping in the middle, your reviews will essentially be about introductions and prologues, which might get redundant... =)

The OP says I will do a minimum of 20 pages. In other words, I will read at least that. I read 35 pages (the whole of the story) of the one I am posting today, and have went back and re-read parts as I was writing the review. The 20 page thing is if I wind up having to force myself to read it.
Honestly, I like reading webcomics, so I am hoping that most of these are series that I want to read the whole thing, in which case I will have to figure out how to do a review on a 500 page masterpiece.

Okay, so I'd like to sign up my 6,75, starting from chapter 1 and 20 pages from there. Leaving out the prologue so 20 pages don't end in the middle of action~

If you would consider reviewing Shades Of Men that would be awesome.
It is my first long form comic and I am always looking for feedback!

You can start reading from the beginning, as it would all make sense.
But I feel that I've been improving gradually along the way!

Hey, @shade277, I am very sorry, but I can't review your comic. I stated in the OP that I could not do titles with nudity or sex, and I hit that pretty quickly in yours. I saw more NSFW warnings down the list, so I am going to have to respectfully decline.

I have not a problem in the world with either, but I am on a company laptop, they have monitoring software, and that is one of their restrictions. When I get my own computer, however, I will pick your comic back up and do a review.

Would you consider reviewing a published comic? :3 My webcomic on Tapastic isn't ready for reviews, but I feel like my published one is, if you feel it fits to your guidelines mentioned in your initial post. Since you're a critic, you would receive a free copy of my comic through my publisher though it is only the Prologue issue so it's about 16 pages, but 20 pages in total including the fan art section and my thank you page. I don't know if this counts towards your minimum of 20 pages, and if it doesn't, then I sincerely apologize for taking up your time <3

I'm certainly game. And I am not a critic yet, I just published my first official review, but I think I am going to get the hang of it pretty quickly. I have been doing this for people for months, so going public with it is actually kinda cool.
