What triggers dissociation?
Triggers are sensory stimuli connected with a person's trauma, and dissociation is an overload response. Even years after the traumatic event or circumstances have ceased, certain sights, sounds, smells, touches, and even tastes can set off, or trigger, a cascade of unwanted memories and feelings.
I feel it is like that, but a bit different. Sometimes, I get headaches from thinking. I get even more stressed with daily life things. I'm at unease and a bit like anxiety. I still don't think I cure this, if it is really dissociation or anything else. I really don't know. Feeling a bit helpless.
