the one assigned to me is very responsive. but it's worth noting last month they had some sort of a short vacation and a business trip. So perhaps this is why it's taking them a while?

also i believe word of their platform is going around and many started signing up for it, creating a big backlog they have to manage through?

congrats, man! : D hope it goes well : >

We got an email from them a couple of weeks ago. The rates were kinda low compare to Webtoons but the panel and upload requirements are more lax.

What's the comic? Because mine has no romance at all. It's total sci fi and was accepted. Heck I don't even have organic characters, just robots! So I think they are looking to round out their genres.

I was actually thinking of starting up a comic solely for exclusive posting on their site. Since they have such a low panel and upload requirement, but still will pay a minimum fee for anyone uploading exclusives to their site, it's tempting for some extra pocket change for maybe 1-2 days of work a month.

Basically. The way it works is you submit your stuff to them for review. If they like it they offer you at least a basic contract that allows you to post anywhere but automatically gets you into their traffic incentive program and some perks like editor help and stuff. If they REALLY like you they will offer an exclusive contract as an option as well. We were offered the first, which is fair we feel we have a good story but we don't have a strong following yet. They have no way to know if we will do well for sure.

I can't go into too much detail as they don't seem to want us to share all the info of the contract? Which is understandable I suppose. But I think it's worth the time to submit. I mean, there are worst things than them telling you no!

To those people who have gotten contract offers, read the fine print.

The best offer they have is the non-exclusive publication rights.

IDK being given some pocket change for an exclusive contract sounds better then having to manage my comic all over the place for zero monies.

i went and took a look at the site... it seems they really look for quality, not hot garbage like Royal... guess i'll keep moving on (sad face)

dude give it a shot! The worst they will say is no. The only thing working against you is they do want updates of 25+ panels twice a month.

i actually found out i possibly never got reached is because i dont have atleast 3 chapters XD. found out thats the minimum requirement to get your comic evaluated

I have only 1 completed chapter and they still took me in. I think chapters are "updates". Reminds me of that discussion in another thread.

((Hey I think your comic's really not that bad. The drawings are good. The only bad parts are the colored pages which I see only happen rarely. I would get it a shot))

im actually redoing them cause like partway in chapter 2 it went to full colour permanently

i had a quick look at your comic and it's in a page format instead of vertical scrolling.
for that they only ask for minimum 8 pages per "chapter" (aka update) as opposed to the 25 panels per update requirement.

And they call their updates "chapters" instead of episodes and that's about it.
i think it's worth a shot whenever you're ready : >

I sent in 51 pages for review on Friday, no response yet tho :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They do have a big old backlog. It took them over a month to get back to me. Don't worry ok?
