that's an odd clause. I wonder if it's more in reference to the kind of content you produce? like they're not responsible if a kid read your mature webcomic when they shouldn't? they don't wanna have to deal with any problems/ "damages" that comes with it?

But regardless, reading through the comments from the other thread, i can see that everyone's contract is not exactly the same. They've been very chill with me, and even allowed me to update my contract on my own terms (i thought it went a bit too smoothly, i can't help but wonder if this has anything to do with you guys who peaced out all at once hmm..)

Anyway congrats on being accepted : >
Sometimes a fresh new start is all you need to get motivated again

Yeah i even signed an exclusive contract with themm, they payed me every month for it. i then asked them if i could get out of the exclusive contract they said yes and still payed me for the months they owed me and dint ask for thier money back.

I think in the end the contract is thier for them if the series was ever a very huge megastare hit and they needed to act on it. They even explained that the clause many people dropped out on was becuase they wanted to use it for pormotion matriels I.e make a trailer with your comic and put it on youtube ect...

That's sort of my understanding of it too.

I liked everyone we dealt with there...it was just a really BAD contract offer and it took us past the negotiation stage and into exit mode. They even left the door open for a return one day.

recently they added a way readers can support creators with coins (gifts). I wonder if those gifts can be converted in real money.

They email about the gifts, It's kinda useless. It says here "Coins are currency that readers can get for free, and they can't be exchanged for income. But it still a way readers can show their love and support for works and creators."

to earn something your readers need to give you gems. The coins yeah, they're pretty useless.

I'm curious about gems too.
I gained 1045 gifts, probably all coins, I wonder if gems stand out. Like there should be a difference right? A way to see if you got coins or gems.

Yes, IM also full of doubts about this thing. I've received an email before the official one mentioning something about the position in rank of donatins might give you more spotlights, so... maybe that's the best use of coins?

Sorry for asking but can anyone reveal a little bit about the contract signed? Payment, deadlines and anything related? I am going to work for them soon, so I am curious

Best thing is to ask them yourselves. I work with them too and all is well, payments arrive. But we're not supposed to talk about it, my personal experience with them is good. Fast replies, kind staff and also not important, plenty comments and readership.

Sorry but would you mind if I ask you some questions? I will send you a message

really? They sent me a publishing agreement (3 page only) but didn't mentioned any of that .... i signed and returned already, but haven't upload yet .......... what will happen next?

my experience with them, i had a very simple contract given to me.
in the beginning they were motivated, i was happy, there system is outdated and bland to monitor each chapters growth.
after a while things were strange in why didn't you make a chapter or announcement public,
so id say there not on the ball with approvals of each chapter.
i made sure i own all my rights which is good but it seems they tailor made, there contracts based on what ive read from others, be cautious, i have over 4k followers on there site

but im starting to think i should make an announcement over there in the next chapter that my team will focus on Tapas or webtoon, might get to the facts of numbers see if its true, if it is id say at least 3 to 4k subs will want to see it here.

in the next month or two ill do it so if anyone wants to see if its true these two will be the ones ill post on

Hey, just got this email

is this a case of webcomicsapp being painfully incompetent (the blank space for title, none of my comics being tagged anywhere as comedy and me posting only one-panel promos to instagram) or is it a scammer pretending to be them?

I'm not familiar with said site, but PLEASE don't click on any links, go to site and check their support email, then either forward this email to them or send them this sc and ask them is this legit.
Similar tactic was used to get into peoples instagram (by sending emails that seemed legit, either saying you will be banned because you got a lot reports or saying someone is trying to log in)

I used to get comments from scammer that had @outlook at the end of their mail (this doesn't mean they are scammer)

I'm happy I found this thread cause I got a message from someone. I thought it was suspicious, didn't even bother to look at the site though just knew it was a different kind of scam cause it's a little weird if you're paying someone without a contract like that, above that, bribery.
