One I did of Daecon as a merman for Mermay in 2024. One of the "rules" of my shapeshifters is that they can only shift into mammals, birds, reptiles, or amphibians. No fish, no invertebrates. They also must keep the same general limb layout (head, body, four limbs) although Daecon is the only one who can actually do extra limbs. The "no fish" rule is why I didn't give him a fish tail - instead he has flippers and fins. Also, no gills: He's an air breather.

I liked him as a merman so much that for 2024 I decided to give the ability to Evander as well:

Daecon's scales are a pearlescent white, Evander's are gold.
Somehow I am going to integrate mermen Daecon and Evander into the story.
Also, do witches count? Here we have Lucinda the Hecate (woods witch). She is immortal and can take on any human female form but chooses to look like a little old lady.
