Fave underrated comics?

I understand your frustration and it's nice that these creators have a fan as passionate about wanting them to succeed as you, but ultimately as a creator isn't it better to have a fan base that generally has readers who enjoy their work and dedication because it's what they put out and not based on who the top dog is? Hell, I have subs who never seem to read anything I post (with exception of two). Honestly I feel they have a strong fan base as it is because I can only imagine that if their current fans are as passionate about their work as you are then that's all they really need. I don't disagree with you I find it unfair that some content creators push in a lot of work in their comics only to be pushed aside by a 2k fan base because they posted a single page, but unfortunately that's kind of how it is.

Then must be all long form comics here are underrated since it's rare to see them performing better if not at the same level as the ones that get thousands of subs.XD I've seen those featured ones that were abandoned all of the sudden, and that's the reason why I avoid comics on the staff picks.

You really shouldn't because sometimes there are some golden works in there.

Well yeah obtaining more sub is very hard, a 100 sub in 7 months isn't bad. Does featured, well they got features, this give so much exposure that they are gonna get way more sub than anyone. To be honest the only way to do better than your comic, well it is to get feature.
But I feel you, seeing other comic getting so much exposure when you work your ass off to get some, and getting almost none, is frustration, but none the less, you have to be humble, like my comics is around 47, it isn't a lot, when I see the other comic with way more sub I am jealous, but I see my friend who just started and only has 5 sub, and think that he deserve more, which makes me think, well 47 isn't bad, I will improve and get more in time, I must not give up :).

It may be golden but if it suddenly gets abandoned then it will be a waste. Since a lot of the staff picks are new (not even a year old) I wait and see how it goes first, like if the creator constantly updates and stuff like that.

Where are we basing this "underrated" rating anyway? subs numbers? You made a very good point that if they have a passionate reader then that's all they really need. i'll take a reader who waits for every update and comments on the pages over 1000subs that does nothing. XD

yeah you are right, having readers that interact and follow actively your work is way more rewording, yet, I see the appeal of having this 1k subs ^^. both are great XD

BTW I should also note that just because a person has a bunch of subs doesn't mean they're ungrateful either. I wasn't trying to come off as saying that. It's got to be a colossal pain in the ass to acknowledge everyone on your fan base.

I think these comics deserve some more recognition!:

1: The Adventure of Woofdog It's about a cat who think's that they are a dog! It's adorable!!!
2: The Chariot A really touching story about a girl who has an imaginary world and growing up. I can't describe much without giving it away but I totally recommend reading it!

Long forms have a much harder time because of delayed gratification. A gag-a-day you get the punch line right away, laugh, and then go on your way. Long forms you have to wait months to get to the climax of a chapter and years to get to the climax of the entire story. Gag-a-day also get way more shares.

It's tough being a long form, B&W, and right-to-left creator. We've essentially committed a "three strikes" capital crime here on Tapastic so we're not expecting to ever get much attention. That said we love our stories and won't stop telling them, regardless of our subs numbers.

Still we're doing all we can to help out other long forms we feel aren't getting the attention they should have a chance at, like Centralia for example.

The Pale- Awesome writing, intriguing characters, and gorgeous black and white artwork! Also delicious intriguing mystery. :0 It deserves a lot more attention!
Alone - Awesome writing, heartfelt characters, and an astoundingly refreshing style! And I typically don't care about romance stories. (Also it may seem like a lot of subs, but this comic has been on the site for ~3 years)

heres some fun ones i found!
1 Slack Wyrm. its about a super lazy dragon and its pretty funny and goodly arted. it sorta reminds me of calvin and hobbes but if calvin was a dragon and hobbes was a dead knight
2. Frederick's House. its a really fun idea about a guy who lives with the ghost of his grandma and shes super spunky in a old lady kinda way. plus the art is super good
