My favourite from my novel is this:

I noticed the things beside me had a sign above that read FREE STUFF. There was a huge hammer on the ground, a sword in a big rock, and even some weird looking gauntlet. I tried yanking the sword and the hammer free, but both seemed superglued to the ground. This is a mean joke. I made my way through the aisles.

From my comic Cracking Eggs. This page here has a lot of Minecraft toys and Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride.

Also a few Beatles references as the Beatlemaniac I am:

Wellington is also canonically a Beatles fan too so he named his children Lucy Diamond (after the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds) and Julian after John Lennon’s son John Julian Lennon who inspired Paul McCartney to write “Hey Jude”

So there you have it.

Every member of the Thomas Bowdler Junior High faculty is named for an actor or actress who played a villain on the Batman TV show from the 60s.

Frank Gorshin's Riddler was my favorite, so he got to be the principal.

Mine's a deep cut. A safe space for otherkin is called Fantastica but some of the letters fell off the sign so it reads Fantasia.

In The Neverending Story novel, the magical land is called Fantastica and in the movie, it's called Fantasia.

I wanna stop doing references in my comic (I even changed the Jack Kirby-artstyle in Quincy's spin-off), but here's some Jojo references from TSFI Season 1.

I think what's cool about the last two references though is that the references are interwoven with the plot. Naota dresses up as a Jojo character which foreshadows someone with stand-like abilities. The Date Arc was cool where Naota was taking advantage of the fact that Lilith didn't know his true genre.
