I'm going to echo a few sentiments here:
For basic black linework, I use Microns (005, 01, 03, 05, and 1). I also have a dozen of them in colors for small details too fine to achieve with my Copics.
For color, I use both Copic and Prismacolor markers-- along with a smattering of other brands here and there, usually when I can't find the equivalent color in either Copic or Prismacolor's line.
For WRITING, I swear by these things. Like, I literally just bought a 12-pack box of them:
The Uni-ball Vision Elite Micro (0.5MM) has been my favorite writing pen for well over a decade. It writes very, very smoothly, it's waterproof, airplane proof, and I think it's also marker proof as long as you let it dry thoroughly. I'm often surprised when they run out of ink because the pen gives you NO warning-- it doesn't skip or thin until it's almost completely empty. They make a thicker nib too (0.8MM), but I like a fine point.
And this is sort of a sleeper favorite tool:
Molotow makes a masking fluid pen (in two sizes)!
Surprising pen I don't like, that seems to be a common artist tool?
White gel pens. I have never had a single one work for more than two days.
