I'm not sure of it's popularity, but I'm fascinated by cuttlefish.
I freakin love this thread D: Some of my favourite weird animals are already up here!
What about the okapi, aka "WHICH UNGULATE ARE YOU TRYING TO BE?!"
Oh my god what is wrong with it's face!
Ah, I was thinking about including the Okapi in my post but I thought I already had too many animals! xD
It's like someone who doesn't know how to draw made a fox.
Uncommonly known....um, maybe the Sand Cat
They are a wild cat which are about the size of a domesticated cat.
Echidnas are also pretty cool.
We have around 10 silkies. The babies are even cuter. Their skin is black.
One of my favorite critters that I've bumped into are gray jays. These wild birds are quite sociable and love checking out campers and hikers. Some will land on you and beg for food, like this guy did last summer. They all showed up at dinner time, so they must have been making the campsite rounds.
That's the most serious fox I've ever seen. It's like he's asking you to step into his office.
I think it's the square-ness of the fox's face that makes it so odd looking and the squinti-ness of their eyes certainly adds to it lol
Here's a short clip of how these guys hunt and them in motion. It's still super unsettling looking in motion.
@indagold HAHAHAHA that wolf!!! It looks like those derpy animals from No Man's Sky! I can't hahaha
I didn't want to double dip... but... I just thought of another one. The Ayam Cemani chicken. These chickens are from Indonesia and they are ALL BLACK. Their feathers, their organs, their eggs, their BONES! It's an all black chicken! I love it! I wear all black year round so I can relate to these cuties! :^P
Someone has probably already mentioned these awesome little guys, Axolotls!
They are unbelievably cute and colourful
If monkeys were aliens they'd look like the Golden snub nosed monkey
I'm a sucker for reptiles so my two faves are crocodile skinks and dragon snakes!
I'd say mine is the Greenland Shark
I like red pandas
Have you read the very silly Axolotl superhero comic Black Mudpuppy?
SIPHONOPHORE!!!
(found out about it watching The Octonauts; great show btw )
YES I approve of that show! You learn about so many different types of aquatic creatures!
Unlike feckin' Bubble Guppies where all the episode premises are just transplanted from a life terrestrial.
Don't ask how I know about children's cartoons.
RED PANDA
I love all the birds in this thread!I'll throw one in too... The Loggerhead Shrike
This carnivorous little bird impales it's prey...
evidence can also be found on barbed wire...
Bird? Insect? Lizard? BAT? You're a snack to the Shrike.
