As a fairly new Tapas creator myself, I feel it's somewhat understandable when someone decides to stop creating novels/webcomics- depending on their reason. For me, I only have one novel up and want to post more... but having little to no comments after I posted numerous chapters on a once a week schedule demoralized me to the point where I'm too scared to post anything, whether it's a new chapter to my current novel or a new story entirely. To me, no comments and few views means they either are uninterested and don't want to say anything or they are interested but don't know what to say. The uncertainty of the viewers actual opinion eats away at me.
I'm slowly trying to regain my confidence, but it's hard when it feels like your content has very little support... I'm not expecting to be popular overnight, but having someone say your work is good and to keep it up would help, if only to tell me that my work is worth posting.
Currently, I've been focusing more on reading and subscribing to other people's stories than I am actually writing them. Maybe one day, I'll post something new but for now I'll indulge in a good story until I feel confident again.
