I’ve finished writing the scene by scene outline of the first season/book of my comic, and I’m close to finishing the first chapter. I don’t plan on posting it until I finish the prologue and first two chapters though, but I wanted to start thinking about the blurb.
For context it’s a High fantasy story featuring four main characters, who all have their own motives for working together to pull off a heist. It’s a very character driven story featuring morally grey characters, and the plot is built off of their choices. It focuses on themes of loyalty, betrayal, sacrifice, and change.
The worldbuilding and environments are all very fantastical, and magic does play a large role in the story (3/4 of the main cast has powers of some sort, and none of them are humans since they all have horns/wings/antennae’s/etc) 2 of them are Zyborn, meaning they are born with powers, and one of them is a mage, and I focus on having them use their cunning and unique skill sets to get out of situations and not just becoming more powerful. Plot wise most of the story is spent traveling, and the actual heist occurs towards the end of the first book.
I’m not sure if the blurb conveys what I want it to so I’d love any feedback!
Blurb:
Nyx, a cunning and ruthless theif, with the rare ability to shapeshift, taking on countless forms and names to serve her goals.
Azari, a princess turned fugitive, willing to do anything in order to bring justice and reclaim her rightful place as queen.
Ghost, a budding mage, desperate to prove himself so he can return home.
Zea, A curious young girl who wishes only to bring light to the people around her, hides a deadly gift.
Despite their conflicting motives, the unlikely team of outcasts is united by a single goal- to steal an ancient super weapon with the potential to end the war. But before they can even attempt the seemingly impossible heist, they’ll have to travel together through mountains and mysteries woods, facing dangerous creatures and people alike, but together, they may have a chance to pull it off- if they don’t end each other first.
