Has help from family and friends as i enjoy sibling dynamic.
The comic i'm working on has a family theme, as the Mcs are two brothers. Their mom is important to the plot and becomes part of the main cast further in. The dad is a regular human, so his help is limited but he tries. (It's modelled after horror style telling where everyone appears suspicipus/ mysterious at 1st.)
'Part of the team' is the most handy and 'lone wolf' is cool. Some of the supporting cast fall into those categories.
My fave is the spontaneous support-
The older brother (Evan) falls into this category. Just when you think you have him figured out, you guys plan to do 'X' the spontaneous support has you doing 'Y'.
It can annoy the poor MC, but lots of humor and surprize.
Owen is a lil kid, he relies on his adult brother Evan in hopes to reunite with their parents, during an outbreak.
(Also the brothers unwillingly caused said outbreak)
Evan is daring so any opportunity to explore the extent of outbreak: means poor Owen gets dragged along. Owen is sheltered, lacks confidence: so being dragged into his brother's wild adventures forces him to toughen up overtime.
