I don't see my character Lev in a swim suit either. I might go for an hawaiian shirt or something! Not sure for the second character though. We'll see where my mind takes me!

Doesn't HAVE to be swimwear, you could probably just draw them in some summer clothes if you want to

Have fun with this idea.. If your character wouldn't wear a swimsuit then have them looking grumpy or annoyed on the beach or in the water. It's all about showing how your character would react to being in this setting with other characters. Don't over think the idea, play around with the idea.
