Getting people to recognize you

hey guys creator of The Makeshifters here, im here with a few tips on how to become famous quick.
first off you need a cool and easy name to remember
second you need a profile picture that will make people wonder what your genre is
third you need to decide on a type of comic series that you wanna make (i chose comedy)
fourth be active comment on others work
fifth check my stuff out and like
sixth alot of hard work
seventh advertise you comics everywhere

Dude, can you stick to one forum post per day? XD
Just participate in other forum posts, share your and other's work,
it's better way to get noticed than making 5 forum posts per day.
Otherwise people will find it annoying and turn on you.

I think pretty much everyone agrees that there is no trick to gaining a following. Some people get lucky and pull it off relatively quickly, but for most people it takes a lot of hard work... not just a snazzy profile pic.

And I have to agree with @AffectedMind on this one, creating a bunch of new topics per day that all link back to your comic is kind of spammy... which is frowned upon. We'd appreciate if you could participate in the forums by finding other people's posts that interest you and responding to those. There are a lot of users so there's usually a lot of convos going on for you to jump into. You can even use the search tool to find threads on things that interest you.

Dude... no one is here to get "famous" quick or slowly. We are here to make comics! So just stick to that, don't be that guy, please please please don't be that guy, we have enough of those.

Make the best comic you can make and stay active (correctly, not like a spambot) in the forums. Good luck!

Well, see I think one of the problems you have here is that you don't even have your comic linked in your forum profile.
Second, I dunno if you know this, but becoming famous is no quick or easy feat, unless you make a sex tape. Becoming infamous is pretty easy though.
Remember that movie, Minions? Minions advertised everywhere. It was in everyone's faces, all the time. But that isn't why they grossed well. They knew who their audience was and catered to them. They put their money into children's products so their movie would be seen by its audience. What put butts in seats was marketing, not spamming, and not just making a movie. And when it comes to marketing, confusing your potential audience is a bad thing. Of course you don't want to give away your story or plot, but you do want to tell them why they should give it a chance. You have to make it clear what genre it is and what its intended audience is because that's what draws your people to you. And if it still isn't getting eyes to your page, you've gotta actually go out there and find your people. and then once you start getting people, you have to give them your blood sweat and tears, do their laundry and make them dinner. You cannot get an audience solely by spamming social media.

Don't let anyone tell you that your art isn't good enough, because everyone has their own style. But, I don't want to accuse you of anything so I'm just going to say this: Don't spam social media. If you want to advertise, make a FB or a Tumblr and follow other blogs. I also noticed that 27 blank accounts just don't pop up out of nowhere and follow the same person. I'm sorry, I was going to sub, but if you're being dishonest I don't want to follow until you start being true to yourself and work on your comic for your enjoyment and not to 'be famous and make a quick buck.' Please fix that problem and listen to @Kaykedrawsthings. They seem like they're trying to help you. Best of luck on your comic.

I've seen your name on the forums quite a bit, I feel like your main objective is some form of fame and recognition, which is the worst mind set for a comic writer. You should really sit down and reflect why youre even working on your comics to begin with. It's already been established in various posts that you have many issues you really need to fix. Your main priority should be being honest and respectful towards your fellow peers but mostly to your audience. No one on here is out for unlimited fame. We either have a story to tell, a hobby, a means of communication, but no one is out for satisfaction at least I hope not. I know yourr still young but it doesn't mean you can't grow up a little we all have to on this site.

If you want to get famous I'll recommend another platform, like youtube. Because here, even the person with most followers is not famous.
Here we do it because we love to do comics, that's all.

Not sure by this point you are actually serious or just trolling or actually serious but means no harm because you are new? Sadly I have to inform you that I'm pretty sure the majority of your tips (???) will (probably) not help you become famous quick.

People don't care about your online name, neither would they care about your comic's name being cool and easy to remember. (Heck my favorite novel has the most silliest and longest name ever, it's not even unique, it literally just spelling out the exact thing that is happening in the book, which was the love story between the two main characters)
Cover art gotta be eye catching, but leaving people wonder what your genre is isn't the main problem here I don't think. They should be more interested to find out what is the story behind your cover art, why said character is shown like that. (There are several topic around the forum on this topic like this for example, you can do a little digging it might help.)
Comic genre isn't what helping you become famous quick, people will read the kind of story/plot that interests them be it comedy, fantasy or slice of life.
It's nice to be active and form good relationship with others, it's another way to help boosting your presence in the community, but you shouldn't do it because you want to get famous quick, it's a bit douchy of a move to pull on others and nobody will appreciate you approaching them for that. (Also just leaving comments on other work about your own work can be considered spamming, you should leave comment because you ACTUALLY care for other's work.)
I would but your stuffs isn't my cup of tea (reposting other creator's content and all) + the way you have been presenting yourself as a creator (the questionable amount of subs on your own series + your constant questionable topic around the forum) also sorta leaving a bad taste in my mouth my apology :/
This, I can agree on. There is no easy way to become famous quick and sometimes even hard work won't pay you off equal amount of recognition, it's a hard truth.
Advertising is good and all but it can become super spammy and once again, people dislikes spammers.
