Personally i havent used it yet and don`t know other users who use this system, but @LordVincent shared his experience using it in the link i shared with you.

A lot of successful comic book creators use a reward system to keep tips flowing, as @DiegoPalacios said. For writers, I'm not sure how the flow of tips has worked for them regarding a reward system I haven't thought of anything good to try it out

I just got my first two tips yesterday and today. The last thing I want to do is get too excited/eager and come off as money grubbing.

The linked article talks about rewards similar to the way of Patreon and its rewards. Those are great ideas but I honestly don't think anyone would be too seriously interested in supporting me in that manner. 1250 coins to equal $1 is a lot and I know that's the going rate on a lot of writers' exclusive content on patreon.

Unless you're mega popular, I don't see tips bringing you a ton of money. Some of these people can only gain coins through free videos (which at time can take some work), and some of those can't do that depending on where they live. And don't forget those who are saving coins to unlock episodes. I'm still a newbie around here (basically) so I don't expect to get many tips, especially since I don't have as large of a following as some, but I greatly appreciate anyone who does!

Very true! I think my jaw dropped when I saw that I had tips in my jar. I’m definitely looking to grow more readership for my stories and make friends with people before worrying about convincing more people to tip.

Which that makes sense because they're providing a service to artists and writers. A platform on which to publish on. I think Patreon also takes a small cut on users earnings as well.
