Google your comic

My series is simply called "Aegis", so I googled "Aegis webcomic." All it shows is results for this other thing called "Under the Aegis." Apparently it's popular?

It was a romance-slash-slice-of-life that thought it was a fantasy adventure. There wasn't much action, just a lot of pages of the party members hooking up. And cleaning.

So this is interesting. My most popular comic (barely over 200 subscribers, but still leagues beyond my others) is President Tronald Dump, and it comes up on the first page if I google "President Tronald Dump" or "Tronald Dump Comic" but not if I just google "Tronald Dump"

My second most popular, The Bio War, doesn't come up if I search by name, but page 30 of chapter 1 comes up at the top if I google "The Bio War comic." Unsurprisingly, "The Bio War" just results in a bunch of articles about biological warfare.

Finally, Clockwork Rebellion comes up about half way down the first page on google, despite sharing a name with something from a video game.

I am first on my google search of The Changeling's Sister! Followed by a book called The changelings that sounds interesting from the summary, so yay!

Each time I google "I'm Mortal" I get either results about a low budget movie with the same title, or "Mortal Combat" XD

‘Lemongrass’ inevitably doesn’t bring up my comic. ‘Lemongrass webcomic’ does, and so does ‘Lemongrass comics’, but the latter also brings up a comic studio, plus another comic with an issue apparently called ‘Lemongrass’.

This is a good lesson in how not to pick titles for your comics!

Googling Biophilia predictably turned out articles on the Biophilia Hypothesis and Björk's 2011 studio album as the top results, which I'm perfectly fine with. Googling Bright Light (again, predictably) gave me a page for a lighting company and, much to my delight, a link to the official website of Bright Light Bright Light (AKA Rod Thomas), one of my favourite singers. This pleases me enough not to fuss about my brainbabies not being anywhere near the top of the first Google results page.

Searched up "Detective Jay" and got 2 different cops/detectives from TV shows, The Wire and Chicago PD. Honestly I didn't know what to expect when I did this lol On the plus side, a result related to me came up a little ways down the page for one of the old animated shorts I made for the comic a couple years ago.

When I looked up Flirting With Death I got a voltron fanfiction and an obscure 2003 movie lol

When I searched From The Sky I got another weird film and then Sky News

If I search up "flirting with death webcomic" I come up first, and then the deadpool comic of the same name is below it.

When I searched on my tablet, it didn't come up but on my desktop it did. But only the Tapas version (no Smackjeeves or Webtoons, and DA only shows up under the Image search)

Adding "comic" just shows The Crow comic (The reason why I renamed my comic Crow's Worth is so that this wouldn't happen )
