I'm currently a college student studying mechanical engineering, but art has always been a passion of mine. I love creating monsters and machines and weird faces, so that's exactly what I'm doing on here.

[image] 200th original strip from President Tronald Dump.
So this is interesting. My most popular comic (barely over 200 subscribers, but still leagues beyond my others) is President Tronald Dump, and it comes up on the first page if I google "President Tronald Dump" or "Tronald Dump Comic" but not if I just google "Tronald Dump" My second most popular, T…

I've started a new chapter in my comic The Bio War, and I'm afraid I've paced it very poorly. I'm spending way too long on a boat in a single room talking about stuff. I think I should have just cut to my unconscious character being awake again a week later and jump right into multiple minor charact…

Oh my god I love this!!! Your art style is beautiful, your composition is astonishing, your pacing is perfect. I can't wait to see where this goes! Though... I'm not usually a fan of romance but I'm still gonna stick around for the amazing visuals and structure. I'm much less organized than you a…
[image] not super proud of this one... I definitely think I shouldn't have been drawing or writing on an empty stomach at midnight.
If you've got multiple comics, I recommend prioritizing one and making the other(s) side=projects that you only work on if you have the time. That's what I've had to do. I try to publish my most popular comic at least once a week (maximum four times a week) and if I feel like that's enough for one w…
It might also have something to do with your visual style. It's good, don't get me wrong, but there's always room for improvement. I like your use of stark colors, it's a solid callback to classic superhero comics, but it's difficult to get a sense of motion and all the people have a very stiff look…

About half of this comic is action scenes currently, and only two percent of those are any good. Feel free to redraw any that catch your eye! Here are a few of the better individual pages, though: [image][image][image][image]
[image] I need to find a design for Tronald Dump that’s repeatable, ridiculous, recognizable, and expressive, but I can’t seem to narrow it down... can I get a little help picking features from the five sketches I managed to narrow down to?
Having stuff in your portfolio is nice and all, but If I spend even just five hours on a page (which is low-balling it), and I don't receive any income for those five hours AT ALL, then what am I working for? I'm interpreting somebody else's ideas, limiting my own creativity, and I'm receiving nothi…
Oh, sorry, didn't mean to sound impatient, I was just curious since I'd gotten an auto-response email saying I'd get a reply in a week. Though I knew this was a different case so the timeline would be a bit different. Also, I'm kinda worried that in my email I implied that I would be unavailable dur…
I emailed in my submission about a week and a half ago. When should I expect a response?
I applied, but I actually won't be available until the start of 2018, so I think there's a good to fair chance they won't accept me... not just for that reason, I'm also a bit of an amateur.
I created a game based on Tronald Dump, but it's intentionally really shitty and I would not recommend it to anyone. [image] [image] [image] [image] Also it's a Slender clone that was made about three years after Slender clones stopped being popular.

if you're still looking I actually specialize in science fiction and fantasy utilizing heavy, dark lines. I've got a portfolio site (listed below). Also my comics showcase my style pretty well. http://dracoif.wixsite.com/irfriedman [image] [image] [image] [image]
Heavy, dark lines: [image] height="500">That is the only consistent aspect of my art. [image] everything else changes, but that aspect is always the same. [image] Whenever I try drawing without outlines, I really don't like the final result. [image]
