Hey,

I've recently posted a chapter in my novel that contains the following paragraph...

The hunter’s tiny body folded up like paper. All the bones – unable to withstand the enormous force – broke and produced an unbearable crunching sound. Her internal organs burst and blood shot explosively from all orifices. The part of the skull that was grazed by the club slumped unnaturally inward and the right eye popped halfway out of its socket.

I've marked the chapter as Mature with the tags

• Physical violence
• Blood/Gore
• Cursing Profanity (there is cursing in other paragraphs)

Today, I've read the community guidelines and it is stated, that...

Content with graphic depictions of violence or that promotes acts of violence will not be allowed.
Restricted violent or graphic content includes the glorification or promotion of self-harm.

I think that I should be fine but just wanted to be sure...

Can anyone tell me what the difference between Content with graphic depictions of violence and Physical violence slash Blood/Gore is?

I don't know but I think the difference is not it (CMIIW, anyone)

I think one of the principal difference is that if you encourage readers on acting/glorify such act of violence/gore/whatever in your series or not. If you do such promotion and glorification, it will be classified as restricted/violating guidelines.
I guess severe violence/gore/whatever is fine as long as 1) you tag and put filter/trigger warning on it properly, 2) actually serves a purpose to the story not being some "violence porn" 3) not being endorsed or glorified.

I think this is referring to "call to action" type violence. Like if you created a story that encouraged readers to emulate it IRL. Some of this may include stuff that promotes hate crimes. As well as framing serious topics like self-harm and suicide in an inappropriate way. I would recommend reading into the controversy around "13 Reasons Why" if you want insight on that.

I'm still puzzled over the majority isekai story that involve dying of the protagonist in the begining of the story in order to be transfered into the isekai.
Aren't those plots promoting suicide attempt?
I become hardline opponent of modern isekai after a kid actually told me that he seeks to kill himself in order to be transported to the isekai world of his fandom.

I never even had the thought that there are (young) people actually believing in die and get transferred to another anime/manga like world. Even if some people find the idea alluring, I don't think they would actually consider doing it.

But I guess it is true that it could be dangerous for people who were already suicidal. Definitely a controversial topic.
