Is it about Tapas?
Is not they ask it so they can feature you in the app?
If I am not wrong it is like that, especially coming from this site staffs (you should check who is it to make sure). If they are not, then you should not comply.

You are one lucky bastard for getting a feature :slight_smile:

Yeah I just got one recently too.. It's so they can feature your comic on the app and the front page of the website with their new scrolling banner feature. I can't really think of any way that someone pretending to be from Tapas could possibly scam you out of anything by asking for a banner, so don't worry about it. It just means Tapas thinks your comic is great and they want to feature it so more people will see it!

I sent them my banner about a week ago, and they said it would be a couple weeks before it would go up on the site, so I imagine it would be the same for yours - once you send it to them, you'll just be waiting anxiously until it happens :laughing:

Really?! Well congratulations to both of us then! <3 I'm curious as to if you think your comic is ready for it or if you were slightly hesitant to accept it. Of course I'm going through with the banner but I know that I want to redo the first few chapters.

I personally feel like my comic is as strong as I can make it. I'm happy with the art and my story, and it's really picked up in popularity lately. If we're being totally honest, I feel like my comic is at the point where, if it was in vertical scrolling format instead of a traditional page format, I would try to submit it to Tapas Premium. So while I was definitely surprised that Tapas wanted to feature my comic on their app, it was mostly surprise that they wanted to feature a traditional page formatted comic on their app.

I do feel like my first chapter is a little rough around the edges, especially with the coloring, but my least favorite thing in the entire world is redrawing pages I've already finished, so they're just going to stay the way the are forever :sweat_smile:

Oh I understand!I should do the same and just focus on finishing the first season/chapter. Thanks for sharing your experience with your comic. It help me understand what I should do since I'm a novice at making comics. ^^;

If the email address is from an @tapasmedia.co account, that would be from us. If you prefer not to provide a banner at this point, that's fine as well, no hard feelings. You can reply to the email and let my team member know that you would like to hold off at this point.

Oh no I'm definitelyyy completing this in a few more days! and I think it's an amazing experience and opportunity that can't be missed! I was just curious because I've gotten scam emails recently that looked so real. Thanks for telling me about the email. Much appreciated :,) !

It hasn't happened to me, but I've heard of it happening to others. Both Tapas and Webtoon sometimes ask creators for assets if they're thinking about making a front-page banner with your comic. Being asking is a really good sign that the right eyes are looking at your work and appreciating its quality.

Congratulations! I hope your banner feature will translate into a lot of positive attention for your work. :slight_smile:
