Have you met anyone famous in comics?

I’ve met and made friends with a few pretty well known people just from having done a lot of conventions and going to a lot of afterparties over the past decade.

I think my biggest pride though was meeting Junji Ito at a convention while we were both in the green room. I was getting a coffee and he was sitting with his translator drinking a box of apple juice. It was a very quick hello because I didn’t want to bother him while he was hiding out in there.

nope. the most famous person I've ever met was a soccer player I met online (right before he joined the German national team)

In Finland I've met practically everyone, including Myllylä and Hiltunen, who I mentioned in a previous post were big influences for me. As for internationally famous artists, Not really.

Frank Cho was once at a local comic convention.

I have also met several smaller artists, some who have worked with Marvel and DC, I feel bad for not remembering their names. I remember one did the lineart for one of the Star Wars Clone Wars comics.
