Okay, there is for sure going to be a lot of crying in this story. So much of it is quite literally life or death. I think it's only human to cry if you think you're about to lose your siblings for good.

from my Knights Chronicles a few have cried

when shadow fang met his mom after nearly 70 years,he may have only been a newborn way back then but he knew who she was, but after all he was made to do he couldn't face her

blade star doesn't want to kill anymore, even if it would be well deserved, luckily she only scared Damien in this

probably one of the most heart breaking times, a kindhearted family slam horn had made friends with were gunned down by zealots,he wanted to save them but couldn't, he knows he failed them

Rahat doesn't cry that much, but they did when Qam almost died. And also this one extra, when they're stressed, I feel like they'd have the occasional nervous breakdown where they cry a little.

Qam cries more, at first because they were miserable from the stress of their job and how pointless everything was. But at the end of daydreamer because they're kinda overwhelmed by the amount Rahat loves them. So both Qam and Rahat cry pretty freely.

Alya I think would cry at a sufficiently dramatic romance show, but reacts to trauma first with anger and violence. This happens a couple of times, first when they kill a coworker who was threatening to kill them, next when they lash out at qamar who probes them on their unhealthy habits and most recently when they attack the curator who mentions their painful upbringing. This way they never truly confront the trauma and thus doesn't get catharsis - which is usually what crying is. Later in the story they will have more time when they're forced to process the hurt, they manage to break through the other side of their anger and finally cry about all the garbage they went through, and are more healthy as a result.

Najm, similarly, doesn't cry because they also don't confront their trauma. Instead of deflecting, like alya, they dissociate, the world stops feeling real to them, they don't feel real, they go into a haze and when they come out of it the trauma feels distant and dream-like. Less tangible. If they were taken out of their constant-stress environment and left to recover for a while and then were confronted with their trauma, if they managed to process the enormity of that awfulness, and the amount of hurt they caused. The pointless loss of it all, then they'd cry.

Astra is a seasoned warrior who tries to keep calm and not cry, but she has shed tears when pushed to the limit. When she got news that a guy she met in the morning died in the afternoon, she shed tears. You're also going to see her tear up in one scene in the upcoming chapter.

Psychoborg is a hardass so it takes a LOT to make him shed even a single tear.

In the beginning of the story, the Creature gets chased out into the forest during a storm after getting beaten and whipped by Frankenstein, so broke down then. He can actually be emotional at times because he's so gentle and driven by his heart.

Yeah, my characters Kattar and Alicia kind of reflect yours in a way. Alicia cries fairly regularly, but especially from emotional meltdowns, but Kattar has spent a lot of time trying to avoid this, now he's become kind of fragile and a meltdown is basically always around the corner from spending this long faking and resisting his pain

Dominic has cried, but the most recent circumstance he can recall is when his paternal grandmother died.

Essence has cried...

when she was a baby, cuz she didn't know how to speak.

For Apparent Secrets, each of the roommates has cried before:

Iris: Voted "most likely to be in tears." When problems surface, she's more apt to fall into despair than rage. It's been this way as long as she can remember, but worsened since her mother passed away.
Zayzann: He's not a big crier, but can be reduced to tears if the situation calls for it. Zayzann doesn't do well with physical or emotional pain, and will cry if things hurt too badly.
Byxx: The archfiend has only cried a handful of times in recent memory, only really letting the tears fall when he thinks about losing his home on Tor-Ignis, during the Territory Wars in the Forgotten Wastes, and when his first love was killed many years ago. He's more likely the buck up and power through things with a smile otherwise.
Khazmine: Augments don't really cry, it's more of a fault in their hydraulic assembly that resembles tears. She's been sad before, especially after Ruby passed away, and she would cry at being an orphan in Old Sarzonn before her Conversion into an Augment. Short of that, Khazmine doesn't express that kind of sorrow often.

Ozwald: he is very emotional he has cried the most I believe the first instance of him crying, like ugly crying is in "Mirror, Mirror" where he realized what he was about to do to a person when his emotions got out of hand.

Ozwald fell to his knees as he was crying his heart out, “I don’t want people to hate you, I don’t know what I would do if you hated me, I didn’t mean to hurt Carter too much but I couldn’t stop, I… I just did what my reflection told me, I´m sorry… so sorry please don’t hate me”

Higen: he was taught not to show strong "bad" emotions such as sadness or pain, he has cried the least, he cries in chapters 20 and 21 "The Place I Can Call Home" where he is confronted with his worst fear, losing Ozwald one of the few people that genuinely care for him.

Tears started to fall from my eyes, my body started to tremble, and I was struggling to form words, It was the first time in years that I cried for real my wheeling could probably be heard through the hospital "I... I don't want to lo...lose my best friend!!! No... that's not true, you are more than that, you are one of the only good things in my life I can't lose you, not you, please... please I'm sorry please come back to me, please don't leave me here all alone!!!"

I think the only characters I have who don't really cry are Jinho and Mrs. Moon. Jinho will resist if he can help it, but he has cried. Mrs. Moon only cries when her son is literally between this world in the next, otherwise, nah. She 'grew out of that' decades ago

Yeah, Mrs. Moon doesn't give "big crier" energy. I can't imagine her reduced to tears by anything short of her missing son.

Ayla is a surprisingly emotionally balanced little 5-year-old. She gets sad but doesn't cry that often even when she's upset. being passed around like a hot potato has probably taught her to be quieter but she does cry in the story, but the reason is a spoiler.

Shaun often cries especially when she gets really frustrated during arguments with her mother Miss Pearl. She doesn't really try to resist or hold back her tears at all.

Dorine cries pretty regularly, she's stressed out and exhausted by her life. She's usually either angry or crying, or both at the same time.

Elyn has cried quite a bit usually when she’s by herself as Elyn doesn’t really like showing her sensitive side to others. Mostly about her brother but she does cry for other moments in the novel not mention yet.

Naaririel has cried before as well as Lillian can’t say why yet.

Coostaark cried during his mother’s funeral as well as other loved ones funerals and weddings and just any emotional moment.

Dallas could never cry. He just goes blank and is completely silent.

Harper thinks crying is for weaklings, but she cried when she got into an argument with Dallas.
