Hi there everyone!
I'm fairly new here on Tapastic. I joined almost a month ago, but I haven't been able to post on forums, but it seems like that bug has been fixed, so here I am to introduce myself!
My name is Carmen, but I also go by the name Charlie! I currently consider myself asexual/aromantic, but I'm still trying to figure myself out. I'm fine with using any pronouns, so use whichever ones you think suit me! I love art with a passion, and I hope to go to University for a fine arts degree after I graduate. I currently don't have a job, but I frequently volunteer at my city's art gallery, which is super fun! The people there are lovely, and the exhibits are always amazing.
I'm 16 years old, and i live in Canada. I have a lot of ideas for a lot of things, but because of my ADHD it's hard for me to focus on one project and stick with it. But I'm doing the best I can, so please bear with me!
my favourite games are Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Neko Atsume, and Fire Emblem Awakening! I love Nintendo games with a passion, and I occasionally do fanart of games I love.
I am a traditional artist, and I can't do digital art to save my life. ;v; But I love doing traditional art! Sometimes I do ink drawings like this. And sometimes (but not very often) I draw with pencil, like in this! But my main medium is pencil crayon. A few examples are here, here, and here!
In fact, I do my whole comic, Type Masters, in pencil crayon! Granted, that makes it a bit hard to have regular updates. The pages usually take a long time to line and colour, and I do not have a scanner at home. So usually I have to take a bus downtown to scan them at a public library. So unfortunately, page progress for my comic is fairly slow.
but i'm still very proud of it! As I said before, I have a lot of trouble with sticking with one project, but my devotion to Type Masters has stuck around for longer than any other idea I've had. It's a huge record for me, and while the comic is mostly just practice to get used to the format of comics, it's a huge accomplishment for me.
Type Masters is a comic that takes place in a world where humans have types and attacks, just like Pokemon! However, humans are fairly weak, and can barely stand up to a basic level 10 pokemon, even if the human has maxed out their power. But every generation, one person is born for each type, and they are able to fully master their powers, even to the point where they could take on a legendary pokemon!
So all eighteen of the Type Masters work together to stop injustices from happening, but not all is what it seems! The comic starts out fairly nice, but I have a lot of plans for death, tears and tragic backstories. :3c
I started the comic almost a year ago, so the art at the beginning is fairly outdated, but I hope everyone likes it!
So, how about you guys? What are your names? Your favorite games and movies? Your medium of choice?
And are there any other traditional artists out there? What's your usual process of creating your comic?
