Help needed for Kofi Commissions

Hey I started a Kofi account and I have a break coming up so I'm thinking of trying my hand with commissions. I'm still exoloring Kofi so I'm looking for some basic guidelines in doing Kofi commissions

-Do I tell people to dm me their Kofi usernames after they have donated?
-Are finished drawings generally posted publicly or just for that one person?
-Anything else I should know?

You can see who donated to you, or ask them to leave a note so you know who they are
(not sure, never used the posting mechanism)
Only start drawing after all the detailed have been ironed out & payment's been sent

I'm no expert, but wouldn't it be easier to just use PayPal for commissions? More people have PayPal accounts than Ko-fi accounts, and Ko-fi goes through PayPal anyway, right?

Also:

Another way to do this is to draw the commission, then send the client a very low-resolution and/or watermarked version of the result before they pay. Once they have paid, send the full version. That way they can see what they're getting before they pay you, but there is still no risk that they'll be able to just take the artwork and run - there's verification on both ends.

I’ve heard of people doing that and done it myself with repeat customers but generally it’s not really a good system because even if the scammer doesn’t get their finished piece, the artist still put the hours working on that commission.
paypal covers buyers pretty well with protection laws and refunds automatically leaning towards them, and the commissioner (unlike the buyer) has a lot to lose (their primary or secondary income) if they don’t fulfil their side of the bargain.

Ah, I see.

Although regarding the payment / receipt process, if you let the client know ahead of time that that's how you will do it, anyone with the intention of scamming you would back out before you actually spent the time drawing, I would think.
