I use it to see how many people have viewed my work. One of the problems I have is with posting my book - I can't figure out how to post pictures in certain parts of the chapter. I try to just paste it, or insert it, but it doesn't work. Also, I usually write my things on Pages, Word, or Google Docs, and if I want to transfer it to Tapas, it forces me to manually type it in.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Mmm everytime I update my comic I'd use it, so 1-2 times a week.
What do you primarily use it for?
I use it primarily for updating my comic, hardly ever check on the stats though...and also I use it to reply to supporter's comments.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
What about adding a chatroom for creators? mmm
How frequently do you use the Dashboard?
It depends, usually when I upload something new to my series.
What do you primarily use it for?
Namely for updating my comics and checking my growth.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I'd like a tagging system that actually works, better search function, the ability to see which subscribers you gained and lost, and who all exactly liked your individual comics instead of just the number of people who did and the five most recent ones. Also, multi-genre tagging for series and more diverse genre tags, please.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
I use it daily
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I use it for checking stats, replying to comments, uploading new chapters.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I've seen, and second, a lot of suggestions for novels (more analytics, not having to reformat the text with italics/bold, having arcs, etc).
Personally, I'd also like to see a feature where the episode order can be re-arranged by click and drag. I'm about to go and edit one of my series and I realized I could use an extra chapter...at the beginning...I don't want to go delete all the other episodes (or the whole series) to add that one extra episode.
I think it would also be great to have a better scheduling tool. It would be great as a series setting to set when you want the next chapter to upload. LIke, if I go and upload 17 chapters, I can just tell it to upload every Monday at 1am or something without having to move through the whole calendar to do it. I'm not sure if that makes sense...
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Everyday
What do you primarily use it for?
See if anyone was going to see my work
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I think I don't have enough experience with the dashboard to give a constructive opinion to that question
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
Once or twice daily
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I actually use it mostly to see what the creators in my library are up to.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
This is kind of a minor thing, but it's bugged me since I first joined Tapas: I've never liked how those red arrows appear when your view/sub count goes down. It just reeks of psychological reinforcement to me...as if somehow it's a bad thing if the number decreases.
I mean, it's only natural for the number to go down; it has to eventually. Even if you kept attracting more people every day until everyone on Earth was reading your comic, the next day the number would have to go down, because there'd be no one left to subscribe to you. =/
Anyway, I dunno if other people have a problem with it; that's just how I feel.
I use the creator dashboard only when I publish a new episode (so like twice a week), and at the same time, I check my traffic stats.
I think the traffic stats would be better if I was able to see the stats for each individual episode by day/month. Right now, it's a total tally, which isn't particularly helpful unless I memorize what the number was before.
Another cool thing would be similar to a thing google analytics does, where you could see where the viewers came from. For example, straight to the comic by bookmark/typing it in, through a link, or through their tapas list.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Daily
What do you primarily use it for?
Usually to see how my story is doing if I'm not creating.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
Suggest works that are like mine, suggest readers who like my genre, dashboard on mobile.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
Daily, even when I am not posting an update.
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I check to see if there are any new comments on my comic or my novel (which requires me to log in separately due to the novel being a premium book.) I also check to see if I can cash out tips because I am pretty strapped for cash. @_@
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
It would be great if there was some way to access the dashboard through the cellphone app. I'd love to have a quick way to see if there were any new comments on there without checking each individual page of my comic or novel.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
It's the page I've bookmarked for accessing Tapas, so I open it daily. But I'd say I only actually use it every few days - most of the time I am just checking for notifications which could be seen on the home page also.
What do you primarily use it for?
Uploading episodes, replying to supporters' comments, occasionally looking at stats and such.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
- a more convenient and organized way of viewing and replying to comments on episodes
- the ability to insert and change the order of episodes in a series
- notifications reaching mobile users (I've heard a lot that they don't but personally only use Tapas on desktop so idk)
- supporters getting notified when you reply to their support messages seems like a good idea although personally I don't really mind either way
~
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Not very often, just casually to check if I can unlock ad revenue
What do you primarily use it for?
Help center, learning about ink, and sometimes checking stats.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I would love to see features or tools where creators can boost exposure! In all honesty, popularity or chances of getting your comics + novels seen rely on views, likes, comments etc. There should be a way for creators to boost themselves too. Have it so when you slow down in posts, you are less likely to show up on the main page than a creator who is consistent with their comics! Tapas Streaks would be brilliant (and different from the 'Fresh' tab on desktop where new episodes come in).
The dashboard could also be more intuitive on mobile, (maybe phone uploads for creators!)
Just humble ideas. I love Tapas and want to grow right along with it!
I look at the creator dashboard more than the homepage, that's how much I use it
and for Improvements
would love a batch upload episodes option, I would have almost 13 episodes made and having to manually add one by one those episodes and schedule each one was a pain, also a save setting on the time I want to upload would be great since I believe most creators have a set time of when they will upload the episode
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
almost daily, but very frequently after I post
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
Mostly to check stats and to see if certain updates had better reception than others.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
We’re all ears!
I'd love some mobile integration since you have an app. Being able to check stats on the go would be very nice.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
- Once or twice a month for me.
What do you primarily use it for?
- Probably to see how my cartoon is working out here.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
- There's not a thing I'd like to see change. I've seen nothing wrong with the place, so I'd leave it as it is.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Almost everyday.
What do you primarily use it for?
Checking the stats, editing and uploading new chapters.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
The dashboard on the phone, I would probably get more work done that way. Also when U copy and paste my chapters it would be nice if I had something bold beforehand as an example, I would like it to stay that way when pasted. Also to be able to save what I typed or pasted, and not have to just publish it. And I'm not sure what else at the moment!
Idk, tabs for [specifically] exploring things that could be deemed more niche. Like things that are just more niche on the sight specifically. I'd honestly like to see newer, more interesting projects get attention more than they get right now. You know, ones with artstyles that aren't just the typical manwha artstyle or I'd just like to see more comics that are experimental or weird. Or just a second and third genre selection so people know what they're getting.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
2-3 times a day
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
To see a status report of the number of views, likes, and subscribers per episode per series
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
We’re all ears!
It'd be much appreciated if there was a way to see which particular subscribers liked an episode on the mobile app, and also to gain recognition of lesser known comics or updated series by posting them on the trending menu of the website.
I use the dashboard almost daily, when I log in, but it lacks a total number of views and just shows daily stuff, which is less important to me.
- Fix italics in the Novels so it's not an inline element CSS shortcut.
- On the main series dashboard show total number of views, likes and subscribers. This information is not viewable on the Dashboard currently; only Daily is noted.
- Reliably show the date of when the series was first posted, and most recent update.
- Allow users to sort the series on their dashboard, not as comic or novel, but by customer numbers of priority the User themselves set.
- Split the Performance section into two different windows, series with lots of chapters/uploads loading on the same page as the graph itself makes it too long of a page needlessly.
How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? almost never
What do you primarily use it for? check engagement.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
-I would like to be able to access it through mobile. It would make many things super easier.
-Also, I would like to be able to put images on novels to make them a bit more like light novels.
-To edit one page, I would like to be able to drag the page to a trash can and add the correct one to its place without having to replace everything.
