Omg I know right? Like >.< ACK! Why arent these two just presented to us simpler?

I'd be GREAT if I could work as a creator on mobile or even see replys to my comments. It's not very often that a desktop is available to me. I was going to make Tapas my Home base for my novels but I had to go with Wattpad because I can't be a creator from my phone. I transfer what I can to Tapastic when I'm at a desktop but it's really trouble some to do.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
Like five times a day? Everyday, at least a couple times.

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I check to see how the stories are doing, especially after I’ve posted something new.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
I would really like the ability to add images into my prose stories.

Ability to delete, change the order of uploaded comics. Ability to delete multi amount of uploaded files.

I probably check my dashboard once or twice a week. I use it to check stats on how my series are performing and compare month-to-month view and sub count. I can't think of any improvements to the dashboard I'd want, it serves its purpose pretty well. I'd be more interested in changes to the Activity feed, I think there could be improvements made so you can more easily keep track of who has subbed to your series, who's liked it, etc. Not that you can't do all that already, but I think it could be formatted better.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
I dunno 2-3 times a month for the dashboard stats. At least once a week for publishing eps.

What do you primarily use it for?
for the stats part I usually check Ink donations, but sometimes to look at stats if I'm curious about something. Otherwise I just use the dashboard to make updates or edit updates.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
-would be cool if we could queue up episodes without having to pick a scheduled publish date.
-if we could make an already published update "invisible" to public eye, but viewable to us. Like sometimes I post bonus or announcements or whatever. And I think it'd be best to delete those updates, but I hesitate because then I lose all the comments I got. Or maybe a way to combine episodes so that the comments are also combined?
-Ability to rearrange chapters/episodes/updates that somehow got published out of order.
-And maybe an estimate time of when "pending" revenue will be available

  • How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

I have it bookmarked as the link I go to every time I visit Tapas, which is at least every other day, if not daily.

  • What do you primarily use it for?

Check on how my comic is doing. See if I have any notifications.

  • And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

More (accurate) analytic like where are the traffics are coming from, and seeing subscriber lost (maybe having at least an option to show a line graph to show my total subscribers instead of a bar graph that only shows subscriber gains.)

Having more creator focused function for the app would be nice, Right now the desktop and mobile experience, to me, is still fairly segregated.

Also, I don't know if it's dashboard related, but I would like to be able to mass edit my comic pages. I recently discovered I messed up my own numbering scheme and having to edit the titles one by one is a bit of a chore.

Hey everyone!

We’re absolutely thrilled to see so many ideas being thrown around in here!

Our team will be coming back Monday to hop in, talk to you and expand on your ideas! Thus allowing more creators to submit their feedback!

Until then, happy weekend!

On every visit. I spend around half my time on tapas using the dashboard.

It's primarily to check traffic statistics and respond to/interact with ink supporters. Every time a chapter of my comic finishes, I gauge reader response through the performance module (every ~2/3 months).

I'd like to be able to click on a supporters icon/username and be directed to their page (it doesn't seem to work at the moment even though the cursor changes). Would also love a notification system filter as mentioned above! Something that gives priority to individual series' messages/comments would be amazing.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
DAILY...HOURLY haha!
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
ALL of the above  I like to reply to my supporters comments, ink donations and just keep in touch with them on daily basis!
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
Definitely option to be able to see individual new subscription and have a chance to view the person's profile and thank them. Currently if you have couple of subscribers at the same time, you cannot click individual one and visit their profile page. It would also be lovely if top 3 supporters would be displayed next to the comic. It would give more exposure to those who help us creators. It would be nice if there was option to post some extras [outside the comic timeline] ahhh what else. I wish we as creators could mark cool or helpful comments with some stars

  • How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

I use the creator dashboard roughly once a week (give or take) when I actually have content to upload or when I am checking responses

  • What do you primarily use it for?

I use it to upload content and check for replies

  • And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I'm in agreement with others, I'd love to be able to check/reply to individual messages or comments, and I'd really love to have creator functions via the mobile app (I mostly upload via my desktop, but I would like to be able to access creator functions via my phone so I can be more interactive with the community when I am not at home). Another thing I saw mentioned in the comments is the ability to group and organize things into chapters (also edit said chapter orders), which would be super helpful when trying to really keep things tidy.

As a side note: On the reader's side of things, I also think that having a nested chapter function would allow readers to skip to certain chapters instead of having to scroll down the entire list of pages submitted (I know there are some series out there with hundreds of pages submitted, and having a way to go to chapters instead of endlessly scrolling would be a godsend for people just diving into a series or wanting to skip around and re-read older chapters)

Night mode would be helpful as I primarily check my dashboards in the evening. I mostly just look at it to see if my comic is at least being viewed. Would be nice to have dividers for chapters, not really fun scrolling through 200+ updates, especially when I accidentally click an update and I have to go all the way back. Mostly just nigh mode, my eyes would appreciate it.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

Very often, every single time I enter Tapas

What do you primarily use it for?

check my stats in views and etc, to better understand how my comics are doing since I dont make revenue yet

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I´d like that you could rearrange the chapter order and/or uploads in comics, like insert chapters before or in between chapters in case you want to add some stuff, change some things you dont need to re upload the whole thing or stack them in other chapters.

Once you are on the uploading page for the comics it´d be neat if at the top came in which comic are you psting, just in case you have multiple ones on the go and get a little confused.

Maybe an easier separate way to check comments on the desktop thats not together with everything else, a bit of more separate features so to speak.

And since tapas has a BL section, an LGBTQ section would be cool or of those separate things, and not just BL, I do understand this is due to the tremendous amount of contect you receive of this topic which granted a space of their own, BUT its kinda hard to find the other subjects and to have special sections for the rest of the LGBTQ+ community would encourage the creation and attention to this other stories, which would be pretty neat

I use it to see how many people have viewed my work. One of the problems I have is with posting my book - I can't figure out how to post pictures in certain parts of the chapter. I try to just paste it, or insert it, but it doesn't work. Also, I usually write my things on Pages, Word, or Google Docs, and if I want to transfer it to Tapas, it forces me to manually type it in.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

Mmm everytime I update my comic I'd use it, so 1-2 times a week.

What do you primarily use it for?

I use it primarily for updating my comic, hardly ever check on the stats though...and also I use it to reply to supporter's comments.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

What about adding a chatroom for creators? mmm

How frequently do you use the Dashboard?

It depends, usually when I upload something new to my series.

What do you primarily use it for?

Namely for updating my comics and checking my growth.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I'd like a tagging system that actually works, better search function, the ability to see which subscribers you gained and lost, and who all exactly liked your individual comics instead of just the number of people who did and the five most recent ones. Also, multi-genre tagging for series and more diverse genre tags, please.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
I use it daily

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I use it for checking stats, replying to comments, uploading new chapters.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I've seen, and second, a lot of suggestions for novels (more analytics, not having to reformat the text with italics/bold, having arcs, etc).

Personally, I'd also like to see a feature where the episode order can be re-arranged by click and drag. I'm about to go and edit one of my series and I realized I could use an extra chapter...at the beginning...I don't want to go delete all the other episodes (or the whole series) to add that one extra episode.

I think it would also be great to have a better scheduling tool. It would be great as a series setting to set when you want the next chapter to upload. LIke, if I go and upload 17 chapters, I can just tell it to upload every Monday at 1am or something without having to move through the whole calendar to do it. I'm not sure if that makes sense...

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

Everyday

What do you primarily use it for?

See if anyone was going to see my work

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I think I don't have enough experience with the dashboard to give a constructive opinion to that question

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
Once or twice daily

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I actually use it mostly to see what the creators in my library are up to.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
This is kind of a minor thing, but it's bugged me since I first joined Tapas: I've never liked how those red arrows appear when your view/sub count goes down. It just reeks of psychological reinforcement to me...as if somehow it's a bad thing if the number decreases.

I mean, it's only natural for the number to go down; it has to eventually. Even if you kept attracting more people every day until everyone on Earth was reading your comic, the next day the number would have to go down, because there'd be no one left to subscribe to you. =/

Anyway, I dunno if other people have a problem with it; that's just how I feel.

I use the creator dashboard only when I publish a new episode (so like twice a week), and at the same time, I check my traffic stats.
I think the traffic stats would be better if I was able to see the stats for each individual episode by day/month. Right now, it's a total tally, which isn't particularly helpful unless I memorize what the number was before.
Another cool thing would be similar to a thing google analytics does, where you could see where the viewers came from. For example, straight to the comic by bookmark/typing it in, through a link, or through their tapas list.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Daily

What do you primarily use it for?
Usually to see how my story is doing if I'm not creating.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
Suggest works that are like mine, suggest readers who like my genre, dashboard on mobile.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)

Daily, even when I am not posting an update.

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)

I check to see if there are any new comments on my comic or my novel (which requires me to log in separately due to the novel being a premium book.) I also check to see if I can cash out tips because I am pretty strapped for cash. @_@

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

It would be great if there was some way to access the dashboard through the cellphone app. I'd love to have a quick way to see if there were any new comments on there without checking each individual page of my comic or novel.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
It's the page I've bookmarked for accessing Tapas, so I open it daily. But I'd say I only actually use it every few days - most of the time I am just checking for notifications which could be seen on the home page also.

What do you primarily use it for?
Uploading episodes, replying to supporters' comments, occasionally looking at stats and such.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

  • a more convenient and organized way of viewing and replying to comments on episodes
  • the ability to insert and change the order of episodes in a series
  • notifications reaching mobile users (I've heard a lot that they don't but personally only use Tapas on desktop so idk)
  • supporters getting notified when you reply to their support messages seems like a good idea although personally I don't really mind either way

 ~

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?

Not very often, just casually to check if I can unlock ad revenue

What do you primarily use it for?

Help center, learning about ink, and sometimes checking stats.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

I would love to see features or tools where creators can boost exposure! In all honesty, popularity or chances of getting your comics + novels seen rely on views, likes, comments etc. There should be a way for creators to boost themselves too. Have it so when you slow down in posts, you are less likely to show up on the main page than a creator who is consistent with their comics! Tapas Streaks would be brilliant (and different from the 'Fresh' tab on desktop where new episodes come in).

The dashboard could also be more intuitive on mobile, (maybe phone uploads for creators!)

Just humble ideas. I love Tapas and want to grow right along with it!

I look at the creator dashboard more than the homepage, that's how much I use it

and for Improvements
would love a batch upload episodes option, I would have almost 13 episodes made and having to manually add one by one those episodes and schedule each one was a pain, also a save setting on the time I want to upload would be great since I believe most creators have a set time of when they will upload the episode

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
almost daily, but very frequently after I post
What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
Mostly to check stats and to see if certain updates had better reception than others.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
We’re all ears!
I'd love some mobile integration since you have an app. Being able to check stats on the go would be very nice.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
- Once or twice a month for me.
What do you primarily use it for?
- Probably to see how my cartoon is working out here.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
- There's not a thing I'd like to see change. I've seen nothing wrong with the place, so I'd leave it as it is.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
Almost everyday.
What do you primarily use it for?
Checking the stats, editing and uploading new chapters.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
The dashboard on the phone, I would probably get more work done that way. Also when U copy and paste my chapters it would be nice if I had something bold beforehand as an example, I would like it to stay that way when pasted. Also to be able to save what I typed or pasted, and not have to just publish it. And I'm not sure what else at the moment!

Idk, tabs for [specifically] exploring things that could be deemed more niche. Like things that are just more niche on the sight specifically. I'd honestly like to see newer, more interesting projects get attention more than they get right now. You know, ones with artstyles that aren't just the typical manwha artstyle or I'd just like to see more comics that are experimental or weird. Or just a second and third genre selection so people know what they're getting.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
2-3 times a day

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)

To see a status report of the number of views, likes, and subscribers per episode per series

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
We’re all ears!
It'd be much appreciated if there was a way to see which particular subscribers liked an episode on the mobile app, and also to gain recognition of lesser known comics or updated series by posting them on the trending menu of the website.

1) I use the dashboard often. Every time I’m reading on my computer, I would look at it at least once. (I’m on everyday whether on the app or computer)
2) check how my stories are doing and how audience engagement is doing.
3)I’d love to be able to access the dashboard on the app.

I use the dashboard almost daily, when I log in, but it lacks a total number of views and just shows daily stuff, which is less important to me.

  • Fix italics in the Novels so it's not an inline element CSS shortcut.
  • On the main series dashboard show total number of views, likes and subscribers. This information is not viewable on the Dashboard currently; only Daily is noted.
  • Reliably show the date of when the series was first posted, and most recent update.
  • Allow users to sort the series on their dashboard, not as comic or novel, but by customer numbers of priority the User themselves set.
  • Split the Performance section into two different windows, series with lots of chapters/uploads loading on the same page as the graph itself makes it too long of a page needlessly.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? almost never
What do you primarily use it for? check engagement.
And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
-I would like to be able to access it through mobile. It would make many things super easier.
-Also, I would like to be able to put images on novels to make them a bit more like light novels.
-To edit one page, I would like to be able to drag the page to a trash can and add the correct one to its place without having to replace everything.

Hi!

I've always wanted to provide a feedback when asked.

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard? (Give us your best guesstimate!)
Every week before I upload, I check my dashboard

What do you primarily use it for? (Do you like to see how your story is doing on a daily basis, check out how that inkage you’ve collected, or reply to your supporters?)
I use it for progress status

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?
AVOID COUNTING CREATORS AS A READ/PAGE VIEW. I noticed that when I visit my own work, my read count. I really wished it would stop doing that. I wouldn't want to find out that the views on my works are mostly mine (so to avoid that, I avoid clicking per episode)

So far, that's about what I can contribute. I would probably revise this once I'm able to think of something else.

Thanks for the opportunity

How frequently - Every time I log in to Tapas so every couple of days!
How do I use - I only really use the series tab, as a way to access my series and see what feedback it has.
Improvements - I dont really like seeing the red number of how much my views have gone down from the previous day ;w; Those analytics dont seem helpful to me but thats potentially because I am very nervous of getting sucked into the mindset of trying my best to please above everything else. Maybe a way of seeing if you've lost subscribers though? Because sometimes I THINK my sub count has gone down but I cant be sure as theres no way of telling. Mostly though I think it would be useful to be able to see all the comments from a series in one place so I dont have to scroll through my whole comic to respond to people, and add a like comment feature!!!

Another improvement I just thought of;
If possible, stats on what sort of age group are reading the comics!! I think this is vital for remaining responsible as a creator

How frequently would you say that you use the creator dashboard?
About as often as I post comics, three times a week.

What do you primarily use it for?
To check views/likes, stats, ink collection, or to see if anyone's commented or subscribed.

And, most importantly, what kinds of improvements and/or features would you like to see in the future?

Series Index:

  • Thumbnail view for each Series, with simplified views/likes/subs underneath with the edit icon.

  • Automatic or optional sorting of Novels/Comics (comics->novels / novels->comics)

  • Optional category creation for a series, for grouping a selection of comics or novels by franchise/setting/characters like folders. (Could be labeled as 'Comic' Folder, 'Novel' Folder, or be mixed). This would help creators who create both daily strips and longform stories, and would like to attend to them separately. Or, creators who have both types of comics of the same series and would like them to appear together for fans on their Series List to avoid confusion.

  • Optional sorting the series list by overall subscibers/performance.

Episode List:

  • Optional thumbnail view for pages (with an edit icon in the corner of the image)

Series Overview (Mobile):

  • Custom Ad banners, or custom links, appear after the synopsis in the Details Tab.

Additional Ideas:

  • Mobile dashboard for creators on-the-go or without desktop/laptop computers, who use of cloud file storage for uploading, or who create their comics on a different device than they use to track comments/subscriptions.

  • Mobile creator newsfeed, in case the creators want to reach their userbase for promotions/special events without asking them to log on to a desktop, or use the mobile browser (which always prompts to switch to the app).

  • Mobile forums (currently, if the user is attempting to login on a mobile device while the Tapas app is installed, the device will switch over without logging the forum user in.)

  • Patreon integration.

Each two weeks, and during that week I use it from 3 to 5 days guesstimated.

I use it for update my comic and the rest of the days for see the statistics for know if more people is watching it.

-The option of can change one page of place. Normally I have to upload again all the pages of one chapter again when I make a change instead just upload the updated page and change it from place.
-Dashboard compatible with touch. The past year my notebook died and I don’t have money for a new one, so I do all my comic things in my tablet.

Thank you for read!
