Hmm, but you see, whatever system we writers think is the best is not necessarily the best system as far as the company is concerned. Their ultimate goal is what readers want, which might not be the same as what the writers want. And they don't want to share those findings with us because it is their "secret strategy" that they don't want their competitors to get a wind of.
And there's a reason why most readers go for the cringey tropes and mediocre writing. There's a market out there for that and the company does what it can to capture it.
At least tapas gives you a chance by having a real Fresh section.
What I wish tapas had is a way to make completed works visible. My reads dropped to 0 when I finished my book. I just added an episode to announce my next book and reads are back up again, new readers binging through it. Do I really need to add those "not real" episodes to get the book noticed?
