I read the first chapter and it was really good! I loved the details, I could really imagine the courtyard of the execution. Ooo, her family is so bad! Especially the brother, he's definitely a bad guy. I don't think the friend Vespera is in on the plot, if she's sobbing like that, I kind of think she's honestly sad about what happened. After Elira woke up again, there was a little bit of an info dump, but I think you handled it really well. I barely even noticed. I'm kind of wondering how long Elira was imprisoned that she forgot that usually a maid would dress her. I think you ended the chapter at just the right spot, it makes me want to read the next chapter to see how Elira handles breakfast with the traitorous fam. All in all, I would give the first chapter two thumbs up!
