So my comic will be on hiatus and I want to fill that absence with guest art/comics. My question is one of etiquette and efficiency. What has worked best for you?

For guest art, be sure to give people ample time and clear guidelines for submitting. I like to announce my call for guest art a month before breaks, so I can get at least a couple submissions in advance.

Be sure to outline what you're looking for with regards to file format, image dimensions/DPI, what kind of artwork you'll allow/not allow, where to email submissions etc. . Oh, and be sure to get links to the artists' websites so you can credit them properly!

If it's useful to you, this is my current thread calling for guest art: https://forums.tapas.io/t/looking-for-guest-artists/191008 :> there's also a couple other floating around the forums if you search for "Guest Art". Might help give you some ideas for writing up your own guidelines and announcement!
