Oh, I'm slow. Wasted about 3-4 hours Thursday on a page because I couldn't get the panels the way I liked on a row. BUT, slow is ok right now as my series is for practice. I've got good faith in the story, and the world is EXTREMELY developed but there's alot of learning to do. Currently, I can't quite draw many of the particulars I'd like to express, and continually try to work around it and dabble. Always trying to improve and find out what works for me. Seriously need to get better at figuring out page layouts.

As for sleep, it's not on purpose. I normally work evenings and this is a very random 8 am shift to cover someone. That meant not getting to sleep till about 11 last night and then when I woke up around 430 am I was all "skrew this. I'm not going to be able to get back to sleep. Let's play WoW."

Never watched Dexter. I dunno, just was not my cup. I'm sorry they had a book series though?! I don't know why that is surprising to me! SHUT UP! Well productivity is nice but hopefully you won't suffer any whiplash on the no-sleep schedule.

You're not alone with tapastic. I keep it spelling it that way too for some unknown reason. Just feels right.

I'm sorry they had a book series though

Books are a lot more like a dark comedy. Dexter's completely robotic and depraved, Deb's foul mouth is a bit more charming, and the kills are certainly unique. Plus there's some cool supporting cast types, like a man named Chutsky who is essentially a Man in Black who seems aware of Dexter and gives it some tacit approval.

Books came first, whole first season shifts away from the book towards the end. Actually a fun read, has a lot more craft to it.

There will likely be whiplash. There's always some whiplash.

Today, I'm at least a little more chill than I was a few weeks back. Spent that time stressing over my lack of progress as a comic artist and everything... But I decided to dabble in a few new things for a bit and managed to revive my interest. Kinda feels like a odd curse was lifted.

Well hey, I think a lot of us reach that point. It's human to stare at the progress we make, the response, and reception from ourselves and others. Sometimes it can get us down but the point is that we at least examine ourselves. All a matter of rising from the stress and possible doubt. Hell yeah it's a curse. An artist's curse. nah I can only manage one comic a week for my one and only series and i know a dude that can only produce one page a month so don't worry

Good gosh, just how on earth do you find time to work on all those comics?! Sorry, I'm just kind of wondering. As for me, I'm trying to make the time to prepare for Long Beach Comic Con as I'm making comic related prints, as well as work on my comic, The Chronicles of SolLuna.

How am I today? Well I'm on my lunch break at work and I just got enough money to copyright my comic. So in 3 hours I will be heading home and I'm going to have the week off to work on editing old pages and draw new ones. So I'm going to be pretty busy with that, really exited though.

I'm doing good! My plans for today include poking at setting up a website profile at a website that has been buggy and weird - and if it doesn't work, email the people responsible - and then thank my brand new Supporters here on Tapastic for being awesome enough to pitch some money my way. And then maybe eat some fruit salad or something, idk. It's a pretty relaxed Sunday, all things considered.

Plans for the rest of the week include, well, drawing lots of comics - both the stuff I post here on Tapastic, and a scifi oneshot for a comics competition. I'm hoping to finish the oneshot as soon as possible, so that I can get back to a.) my Tapastic-comic, and b.) drawing stuff that aren't comics. Also, maybe start poking at a storyboard for future chapters of Grassblades.

Speaking of Grassblades - that's my comic here on Tapastic! It features the grumpiest of all samurais, the little orphan girl he accidentally finds himself taking care of, vague personal quests, secret weird powers, hapless bandits and more swordfights than you can shake a stick at (Seriously. Don't shake a stick. Bringing a stick to a swordfight is a bad idea.)

Yep, it's the same comic in two languages for now (English and Italian), and adding the Spanish version as well really soon.

I checked out I Can Be a Princess, and another couple of comics, they are fun, and I really enjoy your art style. Quite elegant and clean!
