How did you come up with your pen name?

I was just drawing for fun until I wanted to make comics, this is my first one and I'm learning alot on the way which is why I'm The NewComer

It is based off a character I created. He is a hermit who lives in the mountains and writes books about magical creatures and immortals. He wrote a book called "1001 Ways to Kill an Immortal" but wrote it under the pen name "Nick B Rowler" so that the immortals could not track him down. So for a time, Nick B Rowler was sort of used as a stand in for "John Doe". For a time I had "I'm not Nick B Rowler" written on my DeviantArt account, more or less referring to someone who does not exist.

The name was also useful for usernames, replacing "Lilnanny" which tended to be snatched up. I decided to use it for my Tumblr account but dropping the B to avoid being called Nick Browler. But the name has been floating around longer than that, it appears in a fanfic I wrote back in 2007.

Back in highschool the first bleach(its a shonen anime) amv I watched was made with thousand foot krutch's song, phenomenon and at that time no one in my school listened to rock music so I would lie that I was the one that wrote the song with the name as phenomenom n the band stole my lyrics and changed the name of the song n funnily enough my friends believed me n some still do till today (I think probably cuz they still don't listen to rock music) so they would call me phenomenom back then so I took it as a nickname and later on I tried opening some accounts online with it but the name was taken so I added a nine to it since 9 is cool and there you have it, my pen name was born

No one could remember my name and even less could pronounce it correctly so I needed something else.back in high school me and my bestie came up with it,Zee is short so easy to remember and was different to anything else at the time,although it is not too far off from a nickname based on my real name.So I publish under Zee,and have for years,but I have a little fun with the meaning of my real name in my works so there are those who will get the inside jokes

Soleil is a pun on my real name, but I won't say what that pun is I assure you it's very clever and has made many a friend groan. Also, "Solaris", by Stanislaw Lem, is one of my favorite books.

Hawthorne just sounds cool. I was thinking of taking my Dad's last name, but "Sol Nacht" sounds pretty cringe-y.

i just got so used to people calling me spade that i salvaged the only part of that name i could (it took forever to find a replacement for my main blog name though and i had to settle with sppaade)

Yondoloki was the last name for a LARP character I played. My brother, who is a huge Tolkien fan was teaching himself elven language at the time, and created it for our LARP family. It's supposed to mean Son of the Dragon, but he screwed up the grammar. Should have been Lochiyon, and as I am a girl it should have been Lochiel.

Anyways, I had to think up a username for a forum and just picked that last name. I then found out that that letter combination is convieniently never taken online and never bothered to change it :3
