How do / did you start writing your story?

I find inspiration through other ideas and stories. I choose subjects and themes I really like the sound of and then I create characters. Then from there I set the story and backgrounds. I also take it one chapter at a time so I can properly focus and if I have ideas for future chapters I jot them down for later. As your writing more ideas will eventually come. But most of all make sure you’re enjoying yourself and your work.

Niji Chikara specifically was a concept I came up with after watching my first magical girl anime (Powerpuff Girls Z), more specifically because I found someone's magical girl transformation animatics on YouTube and was like "Oh!! I want to do that!!" then made up some OCs on the spot. I remember initially saying I wasn't planning to make an actual story with them, but uh, here we are, lol.

A lot of my other stories are similar in that they were at least vaguely inspired by whatever media I was into at the time. I've also written a few stories that were based on dreams.

Something I see or read will give me an idea for a story. Then I play around with a quick overall outline for the story start to finish.

I have A LOT of these, but only a couple hold my interest long enough to become detailed outlines.

Even then, even fewer ever make it the art stage. If it does, I have my next comic.

I start with brainstorming an idea and thinking out scenarios in my head. Then I will list out the scenarios, sort of in an outline style.

I do sketch out character to help have a mental image of them. Tho, when I was doing stuff for Game Jams, I usually ended up completely changing some characters designs because I did not like how they looked within the game.
