How do I minimize the parts of the comic art process that are not drawing?

I spent like an hour making a set of fancy letters for a comic thing. How do I prevent further instances like that?

Either automate it, for example - you drew a set of fancy letters for your comic, instead of redrawing them each time, make them into a font, you can keep on using, made some fancy pattern - make a brush out of it, or look up some pre-made assets, there are loads of great, free ones over at clip studio's assets marketplace

You could easily get away with typing it out using some free Blambot fonts. It'll be samey but the public don't care about that.

Truth be though, your hand lettering was part of the art not separate from it. If you're willing to do the prep Calligrapher allows you to turn your hand lettering into a font. I believe Haley Newsome did it for her Unfamiliar comic.

I definitely recommend heading over to Blambot and downloading any of the dialogue, design and sound effect fonts that catch your eye. Some of them cost money, but a lot of them are free, and they're all good fonts made for comics.

I want to update my series on a weekly basis, but struggling to find where I can cut corners. Tips?

What do you do to save time when you finish a page? Penciling/sketching, inking, coloring, lettering, page layout, panel borders etc, every advice is welcome. Coloring and shading is the most exhausting part for me right now, I have 8 pages finished sketched/inked and I have the feeling that the coloring/shading process takes too long. I do have a saved color palette for the comic now in clip studio and I limited the amount of colors I use

I believe all of us here already know that comic making is a loooooong process.
