I have never really observed Good Friday so I never heard of that tradition, but it makes sense to me. Still not going to change my decor habits.
My normal home decor has a lot of flowers and plants and is a massive spring mood all the time anyway, so... I don't really do a lot extra beyond that. Sometimes I buy Easter lilies or hydrangeas because I always need more flowers in my home!
I usually help organize an egg hunt for the neighborhood kids, which is pleasant.
The last couple of years I've made these "empty tomb rolls" for Easter and I think they're a cool idea, but I'm not doing them this year.
Mostly I make yummy food and spend time out in the glorious spring weather if it's not rainy, cold, and miserable. I make a nice Easter dinner with roasted rainbow carrots and some kind of savory meats and veggies. This year I'm making these amazeballs brussels sprouts because I'm the boss and basically I will eat whatever I think is delicious:
Instead of elaborate baskets, our awesome Easter bunny has started bringing us these rockin' grazing platters, usually decorated with flowers and full of good veggies, fruit, cheese, and some Easter candy. Mine are not this elaborate or fancy, but they're still pretty cute, delicious, and mostly healthy!
And the Christianity/going to church part is most important to me, so I do that too.
Even though this post is almost entirely about food, heh.
