How do you collab?

How do collabs work on tapastic? What are you supposed to do? Do you trade comic pages er something?

Can someone explain the process?

Usually, as far as I know, a collab on Tapastic is a trade of comics, meaning a guest comic exchange. To have two or more people work on the same comic through tapastic is a bit rare, but not impossible.

If you are looking for a collab, first you have to get in contact with the creator. If they agree, they will tell you how to contact them or how to send the files.

Usually it'll be an email or some other form of messaging system.

This is all pretty basic stuff to think about, so I wouldn't worry too much on the logistics, rather with whom you'll be collaborating with.

It's entirely up to you!

I mean, a collaboration could mean that you find a friend (or fellow Tapastic-creator!) to write you a script that you illustrate, or the other way around. It could be that you do a guest-comic for someone else, and they do one for you, or it could be something like the Tapastic Winter Fest, which was a big crossover event that was planned and worked on for months before it started posting.

How you do it is entirely up to you. : )

I'm not sure how it works on Tapastic.

How I collab is I married my artist so it makes it convenient. Plus he can't get away if I have changes

Seriously though, I am wanting to see how people work too because we have more stories than my husband can handle and we might have to bring in other artists at some point.

I collab with two other artists for my series, and due to the fact that Tapastic does not allow two people to share a comic on here (unlike some other platforms), I wind up posting all of the comics for those collabs.

For the rest of it, we simply communicate using various methods, including phone, e-mail, PMs and voice chat. It works out nicely.
